*Visit of Chairperson, JERC and Secretary, JERC to Kishtwar for review of ongoing & commissioned Hydropower Projects* . Shri Raj Kumar Chaudhary, Chairperson, Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission, J&K and Ladakh (JERC) along with Shri Mohd. Ashraf, Secretary, JERC visited Kishtwar from 05.03.2026 to 08.03.2026 to review the ongoing & commissioned Hydropower Projects in the said area. Chairperson, JERC and Secretary, JERC, visited Pakal Dul HE Project, Kiru HE Project & Kwar HE Project of Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL); Dulhasti Power Station of NHPC Limited and Ratle HE Project of Ratle Hydro Power Corporation Limited (RHPCL). The dignitaries were welcomed by Shri NK Kashyap, CEO, RHPCL; Shri Suresh Kumar, HoP Dulhasti Power Station; Shri Vishal Anand, HoP Pakal Dul HE Project; Shri S K Giri, HoP Kwar HEP; and Shri S K Parhi, HoP Kirthai-II. Appreciating the efforts being put by the Projects/ Power Station, Chairperson, JERC, urged the officials to ensure completion of Project works within the timeframe. Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL) has emerged victorious in the ‘Maitri Cup 2026’ T20 Cricket Tournament held at Vijay Yadav Cricket Academy, Faridabad (Haryana) from 18–19 February 2026. The triangular tournament, hosted by NHPC Limited, featured teams from NHPC, NHDC and CVPPL. Demonstrating exceptional teamwork, skill and sportsmanship, Team CVPPL clinched the championship for the second consecutive year. In a thrilling final, CVPPL defeated NHPC by 5 wickets, displaying remarkable composure and competitive spirit. श्री मोहम्मद अफजल, संयुक्त सचिव (हाइड्रो), विद्युत मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार एवं श्री भूपेंद्र गुप्ता, अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक, एनएचपीसी लिमिटेड ने 6 फरवरी 2026 को चिनाब वैली पावर प्रोजेक्ट्स लिमिटेड (सीवीपीपीएल), जम्मू के निगम मुख्यालय का दौरा किया। सीवीपीपीएल के प्रबंध निदेशक श्री रमेश मुखिया, ने एनएचपीसी क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय जम्मू के कार्यपालक निदेशक श्री राम स्वरूप, आरएचपीसीएल के सीईओ श्री एम. के. कश्यप और सीवीपीपीएल, एनएचपीसी तथा आरएचपीसीएल के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के साथ मिलकर उनका हार्दिक स्वागत किया। इस दौरे के दौरान, एनएचपीसी के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक महोदय ने सीवीपीपीएल के प्रबंध निदेशक, एनएचपीसी क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय जम्मू के कार्यपालक निदेशक, आरएचपीसीएल के सीईओ और सीवीपीपीएल के विभागाध्यक्षों के साथ एक समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। बैठक में सीवीपीपीएल और आरएचपीसीएल के परियोजनाओं में चल रही निर्माण गतिविधियों से संबंधित प्रमुख मुद्दों के साथ-साथ एनएचपीसी के महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर भी चर्चा हुई। इन परियोजनाओं के राष्ट्रीय महत्व पर जोर देते हुए, उन्होंने इनके समय पर पूरा होने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया। Shri Mohammad Afzal, Joint Secretary (Hydro), Ministry of Power, Government of India, accompanied by Shri Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC Limited, visited the Corporate Office of Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL), Jammu, on 6 February 2026. Turbine Rotor of Unit II successfully lowered in CVPPL - Pakal Dul HE Project: In a major step towards the completion of 1000 MW (4x250 MW) Pakal Dul HE Project, Rotor (20 Nos. of Poles weighing 420 T) has been successfully lowered in Unit - II today on 30.01.2026 in the presence of Officers of Pakal Dul HE Project, M/s Voith (Contractor for E&M Package) and M/s AJJV (Contractor for Power House Civil Package). NHPC, JKSDPC and CVPPL Management congratulated Officers of Pakal Dul HE Project and M/s Voith on this Milestone achievement. सीवीपीपीएल ने 26 जनवरी 2026 को 77वां गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह मनाया सीवीपीपीएल में 26 जनवरी 2026 को 77वां गणतंत्र दिवस अत्यंत गरिमामय एवं उत्साहपूर्वक मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर श्री मनोज कुमार वर्मा, महाप्रबंधक (मानव संसाधन) द्वारा निगम मुख्यालय, जम्मू में सभी अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों और उनके परिवारों, संविदा कर्मियों एवं सुरक्षाकर्मियों उपस्थिति की में राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया गया तथा सभी को गणतंत्र दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ दी गईं। अपने संबोधन में उन्होनें कहा कि गणतंत्र दिवस एक राष्ट्रीय पर्व है और यह दिन हम सभी के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है, क्योंकि 26 नवंबर 1949 को संविधान सभा द्वारा भारत के संविधान को अपनाया गया था और 26 जनवरी 1950 से इसे लागू किया गया था। उन्होनें संविधान के महत्व, स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के बलिदान, तथा संविधान निर्माता भारत रत्न बाबा साहब डॉ. भीमराव अंबेडकर के योगदान को स्मरण किया । साथ ही वर्ष 2026 में ‘वन्दे मातरम्’ के 150 वर्ष पूर्ण होने के ऐतिहासिक अवसर को रेखांकित करते हुए राष्ट्रप्रेम, कर्तव्यनिष्ठा एवं सेवा-भावना को आत्मसात करने का आह्वान किया । इस अवसर पर ‘विकसित भारत @2047’ के लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति हेतु ईमानदारी, अनुशासन एवं पारदर्शिता के साथ कार्य करने पर बल दिया । संबोधन के दौरान निर्माणाधीन जलविद्युत परियोजनाओं (पकल दुल, किरु, क्वार) की प्रमुख उपलब्धियों से अवगत कराया गया | भारत सरकार के दिशा-निर्देश व प्रबंध निदेशक की अगुवाई और सफल मार्गदर्शन में कार्यरत सभी कार्मिकों ने अपना 100% योगदान देते हुए राष्ट्रीय महत्व की तीनों निर्माणाधीन परियोजनाओं को जल्द पूर्ण करने का संकल्प लिया | उन्होंने प्रतिकूल भौगोलिक और जलवायु परिस्थितियों के बावजूद किश्तवाड़ में सभी कार्मिकों और निर्माण कार्यों में लगे हुए अन्य श्रमिकों द्वारा किए जा रहे प्रयासों की सराहना की। यह भी उल्लेख किया गया कि जम्मू एवं कश्मीर में सीवीपीपीएल की सभी जलविद्युत परियोजनाएँ ऊर्जा सुरक्षा, औद्योगिक विकास एवं सामाजिक-आर्थिक उन्नति की दृष्टि से अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण हैं तथा इनका समयबद्ध पूर्ण होना सर्वोपरि है। अंत में, सभी अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों से कर्तव्यनिष्ठा, समर्पण एवं टीम भावना के साथ कार्य करते हुए सीवीपीपीएल को एक विश्वस्तरीय कंपनी बनाने का संकल्प लेने का आह्वान किया गया तथा सभी कार्मिकों से अपने एवं अपने परिवार के स्वास्थ्य का ध्यान रखने का अनुरोध किया गया। कार्यक्रम का समापन “वंदे मातरम्, जय हिंद, जय भारत” के उद्घोष के साथ हुआ। इसी क्रम में गणतंत्र दिवस 2026 समारोह पकल दुल, किरु और कवार जल विद्युत परियोजनाओं मे भी मनाया गया | सभी परियोजना प्रमुखों ने अपने अपने परियोजनाओं में राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया | #hydropower #RenewableEnergy #nhpclimited @MinOfPower @mlkhattar @officeofmlk @PIB_India @power_pib

CVPPL Started the Stringing Works of Transmission system for evacuation of power from Pakal Dul, Kiru and Kwar HE Projects of CVPPL In another significant development, Stringing Works has been started on 13.01.2026 for 400kV Double Circuit (Triple HTLS Conductor) Transmission Line from Pot Head Yard of Kiru HEP to Kishtwar Pooling Station including LILO of one Circuit of 400kV D/c (Triple HTLS Conductor) Kiru - Kishtwar line at Pot Head Yard of Kwar & Pakal Dul HE Projects. Turbine Stator successfully lowered in Unit IV of CVPPL - Pakal Dul HE Project In a major step towards the completion of 1000 MW (250 MW x 4 units) Pakal Dul HE Project in Kishtwar, presently under construction by CVPPL (A Joint Venture of NHPC Limited and JKSPDC), the Stator in Unit - IV has been successfully lowered today on 15.12.2025 in the presence of all Senior Officers of Pakal Dul HE Project and M/s Voith (Contractor for E&M Package). Meanwhile, the assembly of Unit-II rotor is also complete and shall be lowered very soon. On behalf of CVPPL Management, Shri Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director, congratulated Shri Vishal Anand, GM (I/c) HoP & the entire team of Pakal Dul HE Project. Visit of CMD, NHPC to Kwar H.E. Project, Kishtwar Hon’ble Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC Sh. Bhupender Gupta during his maiden trip to Kishtwar, J&K between 01.12.2025 and 03.12.2025, visited Kwar H.E. Project on 02.12.2025 to review the ongoing construction activities at the Project. He was accompanied by Sh. Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director, CVPPL and other senior officers from NHPC Faridabad and CVPPL, Jammu. During the visit, Hon’ble CMD, NHPC inspected various construction fronts and also inaugurated the important events of commencement of excavation of 89m deep Vertical Pressure Shaft-2 on right bank and Plunge Pool excavation on left bank. 148m long, Offtake Road Tunnel for concrete cladding on upstream of Dam on Right bank was also daylighted in his august presence. Sh. Shiv Nath Kumar, GM (Civil) and Sh. Arindom Chakraborty, DGM (Geology) from Kwar Project briefed CMD on the status of the Ongoing Construction Activities and the proposed plan for future activities. He expressed satisfaction on the overall progress of construction works. 0n 03.12.2025, he chaired a meeting with Project officials and all the major contractors including Civil, HM and E&M contractors of Kwar H.E. Project wherein all the critical activities were discussed. Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC visited 624 MW Kiru Hydroelectric Project, CVPPL, Kishtwar (J&K) on 02.12.2025. HOP kiru briefed him about the ongoing work of project. CMD, NHPC reviewed the ongoing progress of Civil, Hydro-Mechanical and Electro Mechanical works at Kiru HEP site. During the visit, CMD NHPC witnessed the lowering of Stay Ring in Unit #4 of Power House , start of turbine floor casting of unit#2 and start of Trunnion works in S3 bay of Dam. Expressing satisfaction over the progress of the under construction works of the Project, CMD, NHPC emphasized the need for concerted and coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure timely completion of the Project and assured continuous support from the NHPC Management. Inauguration of Key Erection Works at Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project- In a significant milestone towards the completion of the Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project (1000 MW), Shri Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director, Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL), inaugurated the EOT Crane erection works at the Valve House and the erection of the Steel Liner in the Vertical Pressure Shaft-II. During his visit to Kishtwar, Shri Mukhiya reviewed the progress of works at the under-construction CVPPL projects — Pakal Dul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW), and Kwar (540 MW).
