एनएचपीसी ने 12 जुलाई, 2026 को सिक्किम स्थित 510 मेगावाट तीस्ता-V पावर स्टेशन की यूनिट-1 एवं यूनिट-2 का राष्ट्रीय ग्रिड के साथ सफल परीक्षण सिंक्रोनाइजेशन (Test Synchronization) संपन्न करने के उपरांत 13 जुलाई, 2026 को सायं 5:00 बजे से दोनों उत्पादन इकाइयों (प्रत्येक 170 मेगावाट) का वाणिज्यिक विद्युत उत्पादन पुनः प्रारम्भ कर दिया है। इससे पूर्व, 11 जुलाई, 2026 को विद्युत मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के अतिरिक्त सचिव श्री दिवाकर नाथ मिश्रा तथा अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक, एनएचपीसी श्री भूपेन्द्र गुप्ता ने पावर स्टेशन में नवनिर्मित गैस इंसुलेटेड स्विचगियर (GIS) का उद्घाटन किया। इस अवसर पर निदेशक (परियोजनाएँ) श्री संजय कुमार सिंह; निदेशक (तकनीकी) श्री सुप्रकाश अधिकारी; तीस्ता-V पावर स्टेशन प्रमुख श्री जितेन्द्र कुमार, कार्यपालक निदेशक; कार्यपालक निदेशक, एनएचपीसी क्षे.का., सिलीगुड़ी श्री सुधीर कुमार यादव; कार्यपालक निदेशक (प्रचालन एवं अनुरक्षण) श्री इन्द्रदेव प्रसाद रंजन तथा कार्यपालक निदेशक (पीएमएसजी) श्री उमेश कुमार नंद सहित एनएचपीसी के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे। श्री भूपेन्द्र गुप्ता, अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक, एनएचपीसी ने तीस्ता-V पावर स्टेशन में पुनर्बहाली कार्यों की प्रगति की सराहना की। उन्होंने टीम को निर्धारित समयसीमा में कार्यों को पूर्ण करते हुए पावर स्टेशन की शेष एक इकाई को भी शीघ्र पुनः संचालित करने तथा सुरक्षा, गुणवत्ता एवं परिचालन उत्कृष्टता के उच्चतम मानकों को बनाए रखने के लिए मार्गदर्शन प्रदान किया। उन्होंने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि पावर स्टेशन उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन के साथ स्वच्छ, हरित एवं विश्वसनीय जलविद्युत उत्पादन में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देगा। #NHPC #Hydropower @MinOfPower @PIB_India @power_pib

They reviewed various components of the Project and subsequently examined the works of the TRT outlet, Head Race Tunnel (HRT) Adit-III and Adit-II. They also visited the ongoing pile works, intake slope stabilization and Hydro-Mechanical (HM) radial gate installation at the Teesta-VI barrage site in Sirwani. Head of the Project, Shri Manoj Kumar Lakra, General Manager briefed them about the progress of various components of the project.
