I don’t know where kids got the idea that they were due a house and new car at college graduation, but that’s NOT how it ever was.

Too many young people are resenting Boomers, claiming that Boomers had it " easy " financially in their youth. Here are a few fun facts about growing up Boomer. 1. Almost everyone grew up with one bathroom. Mom, Dad and all 3-6 siblings. 2. If you did get to take a vacation, you drove. With no air conditioning. No cup holders. No iPads. Just black vinyl seats and bologna sandwiches. 3. There were no club sports. No Parks and Rec activities. Summer camp was for rich kids. Get yourself a bike, a stick and a few friends. If you were bored, you laid in the grass and looked at clouds. 4. You ate what was served. Even if it was chicken livers. No DoorDash, no backup Totino's rolls. 5. No AP classes, no PSEO, no "fun" elective. They assigned you to a class. You went. You did what they asked. Or else. 6. Unless you had rich parents, you had a nice VFW wedding. Maybe rent a room at a modest hotel. 7. Most Boomers got their first pedi and mani in their 50s (when their feet got farther away). We didn't even know people got massages in real life, only in Hollywood. 8. You packed your own lunch for decades. 9. No one knew what red light therapy was, a facial, a spa day, or a cold plunge. Your gym was the YMCA. Usually in a rather old building. 10. We grew up with 18 percent inflation, 14 percent mortgage rates, 3 million continuing unemployment claims, and 200 other applicants competing for the same job. Now, this is not to say Millenials and Gen Z have it easy or don't face problems. It's just to say, nobody has it easy or doesn't face problems. My only hope, as my mom would say, is I live long enough to see my kids' kids complain about how easy they had it!

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

What women call “mental load” and “emotional labor”is just self-created anxiety that they place on themselves by taking on more and more responsibility without being asked.
Then that same woman turns around and presents this self-imposed stress as a form of sacrifice, using it to make their partner feel guilty as if they are doing everything alone in the relationship.
A lot of the pressure comes from impulsive, non-essential tasks that don’t actually need to be done immediately or at all.
But once the stress passes a personal threshold, it gets projected onto their husbands as if it is now their duty to absorb and fix it. What makes it more frustrating is the inconsistency.
When they truly do not want to do something, they can clearly and forcefully say no. But when it is their own mind pushing them to overextend themselves, suddenly it becomes “mental load” and emotional labor that someone else is expected to manage.
At that point, it is no longer responsibility, it becomes self-created pressure that is now affecting their mental health, and then their partner is blamed for not fixing it. Men are basically being blamed for an imaginary problem.

❌ Console-only lobbies won’t exist
🔒 Turning off crossplay = you’re locked to your own platform only (PS vs PS, Xbox vs Xbox)

@Ryangofett_2490 Eyy not quite, it's crossplay on or off - but if crossplay is on we treat it as console preferred crossplay, so we'll try and matchmake you with others playing on console before falling back to full crossplay if we can't find you a match with only/mostly console players.

The current talk of the town: You must purchase an edition of #EscapefromTarkov on Steam in order to play it through Steam.
Then your account from the launcher can be switched over.
I've asked about a version on steam for like $1 that allows that transfer to happen.
