I can go on and on. Every year, we see performative actions disguised as solutions while the real systemic issues remain unchanged. If you truly want to celebrate women this IWD, go beyond the hashtags. Advocate for real change in: 1. Women’s health (access to reproductive care, maternal health, mental health support) 2. Women’s education (STEM access, scholarships, policies supporting girls’ education) [we do a lot around this @SheCodeAfrica if you’d like to support] 3. Workplace equity (equal pay, leadership opportunities, anti-bias policies) 4. Legal protection (stronger laws against GBV, workplace harassment policies, access to justice) This year, Don’t just “celebrate” women, fight for them! Like this year’s theme demands; Accelerate action!🙂
