A streamer says Microsoft permanently deleted his 25-year-old Microsoft account after it was hacked, locking him out of everything connected to it. According to him, hackers took over the account and changed the recovery details. Even after contacting Microsoft support and providing evidence of ownership, he says he was told the account could not be recovered and was eventually deleted. The account included: - 25 years of Xbox history - Thousands of dollars’ worth of digital games and purchases - Outlook emails - OneDrive files and family photos, including baby pictures of his son - Other Microsoft services tied to the account

The GNOME Foundation is celebrating “Non-Binary People’s Day”. Which, apparently, is a thing. GNOME says: “Non-binary people are valid and welcome in our spaces 💛🤍💜🖤” It seems like this shouldn’t need to be said, but: - There are only two sexes (male and female). - Being “Non-binary” is not valid, from a biological, scientific point of view. Therefore… the statement “Non-binary people are valid” is not only *factually* incorrect… but suggests severe delusions (and a profound misunderstanding of basic biology and engineering) on the part of GNOME. Maybe it’s just me, but the idea of the people making our desktop software suffering from extreme delusions, and an inability to understand basic engineering, probably isn’t the best idea in the world.
