@amuse @WallStreetMav People advocating for our bases to close don’t know a damn thing about logistics and the importance of having a presence there for global power projection. How many of combat wounded are cared for in overseas bases..

@WallStreetMav The vast majority agree that there is no longer any reason for the US to have troops in Europe. We don't need bases there. Europe can defend itself. We don't need to scuttle NATO immediately, but eventually it will be obvious that it is no longer fit for purpose.

We are all in agreement. Americans don't want to pay to defend Europe for free. Europeans want American troops to leave. It is time to rename NATO. Change the name to ETO, the European Treaty Organization.

A sad day for Germany 🇩🇪. 5.000 US 🇺🇸 troops will leave my country. They defended us for 7 decades and they never misused their power (unlike the Soviets). They acted disciplined and friendly. They taught us a lot. The U.S. is like a big brother for Germany. But the U.S. administration is right: Germany can stand on its own feed nowadays. The U.S. needs its resources to deter China 🇨🇳. And one day, when we Europeans are strong enough we will do so as well. Thank you American soldiers for your service for liberty and peace in Europe. 🇩🇪 🇺🇸🇪🇺

MLB expansion?? Charlotte, NC - Good option Montreal, CN - No to Canada Oakland, CA - Just lost their team, why go back? Nashville, TN - Best option Orlando, FL - can't fill seats in the other 2 FL baseball stadiums Portland, OR - disaster of a city Raliegh, NC - Decent option, very small market Sacramento, CA - Would cost $5B to build a $750M stadium Salt Lake City, UT - Good option, small market. Vancouver, CN - No to Canada If they were going to add 2 teams, I'd probably go with Nashville and either Salt Lake City or Charlotte.

Folks keep tagging me. They want to know: Is Asheville really that bad? YES. And regardless of what this article says, it’s not a new problem that developed after Helene. I grew up in Canton. When we “went to town,” it was to Asheville. Mamaw and Papaw took me to the flea market in Asheville multiple times a year. We did our clothes shopping at the Asheville JCPenney. When Papaw had to go to the VA, it was in Asheville. Daddy took me to the Belle Chere music festival every year. Back then, Asheville was a hillbilly Mecca. Old men sat on benches outside Hardee’s with their sausage biscuits and coffee to gossip. Bluegrass played on gas station speakers. People clogged on weekends. Folks sounded like they’d never left WNC—the accents were thick. By the time the city ended Belle Chere in 2013, Asheville had become a place I didn’t recognize. Transplants had flooded out the locals, who escaped to Madison and Haywood counties. Local accents? Gone. Bluegrass and clogging? Bastardized by people with zero ties to the traditions. The old men at Hardee’s? Replaced by homeless junkies nodding off and drooling on themselves. It’s so bad that I’ve avoided Asheville for more than a decade. Only one of my children has ever been to the city, and she only went so I could take her to the Biltmore House. Asheville is like an infection—and as much as it pains my heart to admit it, that infection is spreading. The last time I was in Canton, we went out to eat. There wasn’t a single person in the restaurant with a local accent. Women in Lilly Pulitzer and men in dock shoes walked the sidewalks where overalls and work boots once ruled. It won’t be long before the same policies that created this new Asheville turns the rest of WNC into a shell of its former self. 💔

🇨🇳 China now builds over 50% of the world's ships, controls 7 of the top 10 shipyards, and has the largest navy on earth by ship count. Last time one country dominated shipbuilding like this, the British Empire happened.

Earth’s atmosphere has crossed a historic threshold unseen for more than 3 million years. Atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) levels have now surpassed 430 parts per million (ppm): a concentration last experienced during the Pliocene epoch, long before modern humans existed. This milestone was recorded at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii, the world’s longest continuously operating CO₂ monitoring station. In early March, daily averages peaked at 430.60 ppm: a figure climate scientists have tracked with growing concern for decades. But what does crossing this threshold actually mean? Prior to the Industrial Revolution, atmospheric CO₂ levels remained stable around 280 ppm. Today, they stand more than 50% higher, largely due to the burning of fossil fuels, large-scale deforestation, and other industrial activities. This is far more than just a number: it’s a clear warning signal for the planet. Approximately 25% of the CO₂ we emit is absorbed by the oceans. As it dissolves, it forms carbonic acid, driving ocean acidification. This process is already weakening shell-forming marine organisms such as corals, plankton, and mollusks — the foundational species of ocean food webs. Researchers note that the current rate of ocean acidification is likely the fastest seen in at least 300 million years. Many climate models had projected that CO₂ concentrations would only approach this level under aggressive global mitigation efforts. Instead, we’ve reached it while emissions continue to rise. If current trends persist, atmospheric CO₂ could exceed 500 ppm by the end of the century, ushering in climate conditions not seen on Earth for tens of millions of years. 🇮🇱🇱🇧 Tucker breaks down the IDF soldier smashing a statue of Jesus in Lebanon, and methodically dismantles every excuse before landing on the question nobody in mainstream media will ask: "Why would an Israeli soldier want to smash the face of Jesus?" He walks through the entire logic chain that played out online in real time. First everyone assumed it was AI. Then Israel's advocates called it terror propaganda. Then it turned out to be real. Then the IDF "apologized" and "disciplined" two soldiers. And Tucker asks the question that makes all of that cleanup irrelevant: why did it happen in the first place? Source: @TCNetwork
