"It's difficult to watch the games from the sidelines, I still felt like I want to play in those games and help the team." Describe how you scored that goal against Man City, did you plan to cut inside like that? 🎯 "Well I was moving straight and I could see that was the only place open so I guess I intended to cut in but it felt like my body had moved automatically/reflexively into the space." You had a heated match up against Bournemouth defender Alex Jimenez, how was it? was it fun? What did he say to you?🔥 "Well I knew before the match he is a great player but I felt it even more when I played against him and although it’s very difficult to go one-one-one against a player with that kind of speed, on the other hand it can be fun and although I wasn’t really able to do much in the last match, I definitely want to win against Bournemouth next time." "Yes he was saying things to me in my ear once, but other than that, nothing in particular." On Brighton's ambitions for Champions League, the FA Cup and 5th in the table finish: 📈🏆 "I think there’s a very good chance that we’ll finish in the top five and of course there’s also the possibility we’ll stay mid table since it’s very tightly ranked in terms of points. I think that if some injured players can return and the team can really rally together, there’s a good chance we will be able to aim for a higher position. We also still have the FA Cup left so we’re aiming for that title as well." "Having expiereced the Europa league as a team, I think we're aiming for the next level up, the Champions league" How you feeling about the good performances of Tanaka and him scoring against Liverpool & Chelsea last month? 🇯🇵 "Well I was injured at this time too so he was doing really well and it was inspiring, and he’s a player who definitely has the ability to score so rather than just showing up in dangerous positions he’s also great at taking on loose balls and his mid-range shots are often of high quality so I thought that he has shown great qualities. I did get in contact with Tanaka and we talk about the current situation of our teams, my recovery and sometimes about the Japanese national team." On reaching 100 games in the premier league and future ambitions: 🚀💯 "Well I wasn’t really aiming for a certain number of games, I think that I was able to achieve that result because I just built up my game time, game by game. However, I did have some big absences on the sidelines in my second and third years and it was only in my 4th year I could finally reach 100 games. I felt like I wanted to achieve it sooner but for the future I’d be very happy if I could reach 200 or 300 games and I would like to make further progress."
