We don’t need painted lanes! We need protected lanes with actual protection!!

If you give a driver an inch... They'll take the whole bike lane. Barrier-protected bike lanes are necessary to ensure that people of all ages and abilities actually feel safe if they want to ride a bike - for whatever reason.

🚴‍♂️ RIP to Hector Echeverria, 57, father, triathlete, and cancer survivor. The Key Biscayne resident was a beloved teacher at MAST Academy (Mr. Echy). He was tragically killed on Sunday morning while riding his bicycle inside Virginia Key.

Bike shops which offer repairs/parts are vital to those who use bicycles as method of transportation on @MiamiBeachNews. The City + @MiamiDadeCounty should amend it's order of essentials retails to include bicycle stores along with auto-supply and auto-repair facilities.

Both are needed to travel, many food deliveries are also done on bicycle. Bicycling also maintains social distancing, most would rather bike than be in ANY train, Uber, bus, etc right now 😷
