@AusRepNEWS @elonmusk I think you’re missing the sarcasm. That was the big claim for why he bought it. He was “protecting free speech”.
English

@Cycle_Point @elonmusk You think it is a free speech platform?
Lies are not speech. It’s propaganda.

English

@Celinho_20 @DudespostingWs It's not something you go eat every day, but it's worth the experience.
English

@DudespostingWs This sandwich must be really good, it made my mouth water.
The question is, is the quality worth the price?
English

@DudespostingWs If it costs $30, those aren't generous portions. Those are the portions I paid for.
English

@meadandjuniper A savory, high protein, warm(hot) version of a smoothie for lunch. Kind of like a soup, but not chunky with bits.
English

@TheCinesthetic I think a remake and some sequels would be great. As I kid I do remember thinking "How are people living on water SOOO dirty?"
English

Waterworld (1995) is over-hated. Strip away the budget jokes and what’s left is a huge, strange, ambitious adventure packed with real stunts and a fully built world. It’s messy, but there’s way more movie there than people remember.
cinesthetic.@TheCinesthetic
What is the most unfairly hated movie that you will defend every time
English

@exQUIZitely Processing advanced so much that processing the audio direct instead of offloading it is just too easy.
English

@sweatystartup This has such a "You kids get off my lawn!" vibe.

@HereC57131 @DrClownPhD This guy completed Megaman X and Megaman X2 with one controller at the SAME TIME. You will find no video game accomplishment better than this ever.

@DrClownPhD The Mega Man series was so hard it should've been outlawed..LOL
English

@EnvestingEarly @Dividend_Dollar The argument to that would be people who are financially responsible can take on bigger, safer debt.
You can get a mortgage for a MUCH bigger home when you've got $200K in your 401K in your 30s.
English

@Dividend_Dollar Think about it, they want W2 tax payers in the system, what’s why they always want you to take on debt.
English

@nickjdonaldson1 @TicTocTick I'll give you #1, but #2 and #3 can be ignored. An extra 10 minutes per week isn't changing anybody's life and if the gas stations around you are that dangerous, you've got much bigger problems than the car you drive.
English

Well, the cost of gas is just one point. When you have a Tesla and can charge at home:
1) You avoid high gas costs (with fixed, cheap electricity).
2) You save time by never needing to visit a gas station—keeping an 80% charge is more than enough for daily driving, and you can easily top up at night with even just the mobile charger.
3) You increase your safety by not having to go to the gas station.
English

@RokoMijic 1 barrel of oil produces about 20 gallons of gasoline. That's enough for about 1 day of use.
So if we're storing 10 days of fuel, that's 200 gallons. You need a permit plus professional grade storage tank. For about $8000. That will also need to be on land so $12K for that.
English

What Brett isn't telling you is that the power from the solar panel must be used instantly.
If you want just 10 days of storage for a 400W solar panel you have to pay about $10,000 for batteries.
The barrel of oil is its own battery.
And if you have to put that panel in Southern England on land that would otherwise have been used for housing, you are going to pay $12,000 for the land.
So:
- Panel ($92)
- Batteries ($10,000)
- Land ($12,000)
You can see why oil is still competitive.
Brett Winton@wintonARK
a barrel of oil can provide as much electricity as a 400W solar panel does annually. a barrel of oil runs $92 and comes with a few minor logistical complications. this year the solar panel should run less than $90; you can order online, ships in a week.
English

@briandstone 2026 US average so far says $3,466 across the US. Still expensive for the price of the car.
English

Why in the world is Consumer Reports quoting these insane, unrealistic insurance rates for Teslas? I’ve never heard of anyone paying $400/mo to insure a Model 3.
Vasy 👑 🥊@jaws4bolts
@briandstone Per consumer reports….interesting…I’ll give my insurance company a call to see what they say.
English

@AusRepNEWS @elonmusk So the platform for free speech is no longer for free speech?
English

@elonmusk Can we please have habitual liars suspended on X.
Of course, that would include most politicians.
Their everyday presence on this great platform is nauseating.
Grok can confirm the veracity of what they say in seconds. Three-strikes you’re out would seem a fair policy.

English

@KeruboSk I have not used an alarm in over 10 years. I get up when the sun gets up. That's it.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

@itsTseTse The bank doesn't accept "but the job didn't pay as much as I want" for a mortgage payment.
English

@AarshMKhan @niccruzpatane I don't know why they isn't just a removable battery for the frunk. Something you can rent for longer trips, and exchange like propane tanks.
English

@niccruzpatane We do need 500 miles of range. I own a Model Y Performance and the range sucks in winter. Tesla should compete with gas cars in all scenarios, not just certain use cases. There is a proble, let's admit it and make it better.
English

Unless you’re driving 500+ miles per day, you don’t need an EV with that much range.
The average person drives around 37 miles per day. Current Tesla offerings provide way more than enough for the vast majority of people.
On road trips, I can usually only drive about two hours before I need to get out, stretch my legs, etc. During that time, my car charges. It’s not the inconvenience people think it is.
It doesn’t make sense to lug around a huge battery when most people don’t actually use that capacity.

William Shatner@WilliamShatner
When Tesla’s get to 500 miles per charge; I’ll think about one. BTW there’s an app that allows Waze to work. 🙄 #thinkIdontknow? 🥱😑
English

@TwistedSheepGrl @Mlu__N2 That's exclusive wagyu patties if you look closely.
English

@Mlu__N2 I'll never understand paying extra for pre-made patties just to break them back up into ground beef.
