@jasonrmcintyre Been trying to tell people this, St. John's probably should have been a seed line higher, but UNI definitely should have been a seed line lower at least, so I guess it "worked out"

Northern Iowa looks like the worst team i've seen that isn't a 16 seed

@ChrisVannini They've certainly underperformed more than outperformed overall, and not making one Sweet 16 is disappointing, but they were never once "supposed" to be a Sweet 16 team by the seed

@hawkeyezebra @allyncoppola @brentblum Like every game they post, it starts with analytics and then gets based on who they think people will bet on so they can keep the money even on both sides as much as possible, and guarantee themselves a profit.

@JakeBrendTV Looked like he also did right after it happened too, I don't think it was intentional, more reactive, but also the definition of why the rule exists.

Good sportsmanship by Kavien Jones. He went and said something to Dom Pleta before leaving the game.

@ChrisMWilliams Pleta 💪🏼 He’s ready. Freshmen basically sophomores now. Lipsey… 4 fouls shows it’s Tournament officiating, not bad officiating… just called tighter. Need to adjust.

@patrickd0417 @Aaron_Torres My dude NIL money doesn’t come from the school. It comes from business endorsements and wealthy boosters basically sponsoring athletes so they come play for their school. The school itself doesn’t pay the athletes. BYU has some VERY wealthy alumni.

Since there are a lot of uniformed people talking college hoops tonight: 1. BYU did not pay AJ Dybantsa $7 million 2. They had 6 season-ending injuries, including an All-Big 12 guy 3. When somewhat healthy they were 16-1 4. Yes, AJ was "worth it" for BYU despite win/loss record
Brian Drake@DrakeFantasy

BYU paid $7 million to AJ Dybantsa. He led the nation in scoring. Cool. They finished 10th in the Big 12 and were a 6-seed in the NCAA Tournament after losing a key guard to injury. They lost to an 11-seed Texas team that finished 10th in the SEC. Is that NIL $ well spent?

@sports8 @Aaron_Torres It's been widely reported that his BYU collective deal was $4-5M, and with other deals he had with Nike, Fanatics, etc., the total package value was about $7M

Have to be impressed with the way Jefferson’s teammates have responded. Obviously not having him wasn’t going to cost them this game because of the level of opponent but they’ve been razor sharp instead of deflated.
