Hartenstein did a fantastic job of bugging Wembanyama every chance he got in the 1st half. Constantly pushing, grabbing and bumping him. Doing anything he can to make him expend energy. Can’t be measured in a box score but it’s significant.

@WheatleyHayden Well if part of his job is that it is televised on national tv, then you might have a point. But his point was that Caruso’s job includes having a camera in his face, including when he screws up and goes into huddles. And gets paid millions to deal with it.

@OKSTBourbonBro It really wasn’t one-sided. Wemby got fouled hard on pretty much every possession he was on the court. The fact they called as many as they did says more about how much fouling there was both called and uncalled, and less about bias.

100% accurate! It’s possible to call out one sided horrible officiating while also saying the refs aren’t why a team loses. Last night was a perfect example of that. OKC had the lead & the ball 3 times with momentum & didn’t execute. Expecting a nice bounce back game tomorrow night. #thunderup

@FreeHunterB It was not every time. If it was every time, every Thunder starter would have fouled out. Every shot, somebody is hanging on Wemby, pushing him, jumping in his body, etc. Some of his best highlights Chet is literally pulling his off hand down—no foul OKC fans grasping at straws

OKC just took the Spurs best punch, and it still took 2OT, on a night where everyone not named Dub and Caruso were objectively horrible. I remind you that last year OKC lost Game 1 against Denver on a Gordon game winner & Game 1 against Indy on a Hali game winner. Long series.

I’m not sure Spurs fans recognize this yet but the lottery rules changing is actually enormously beneficial for them. It simultaneously makes it way harder for young teams to accumulate picks to compete with them AND it makes the picks other teams owe them more valuable.

I can't get too mad about Wemby's 41-24. That's just greatness personified. But letting Dylan Harper drop 24-11-6 with 7 steals? When you pride yourself so much on having 3 All-Defense guards on your roster? You can't let a 20-year-old rookie look that comfortable against you
