#YonkersPublicSchools families! Due to the current heat wave, Superintendent @AnibalSolerJr today announced a half-day schedule for Thursday, June 20th, and Friday June 21st, for students in PK – 8 grade schools. Students in grades 9-12 who are testing, should follow their exam schedule. ➡️Dismissal Times: Schools starting at 8:35 AM will dismiss at 12:00 PM. Schools starting at 7:35 AM will dismiss at 11:00 AM. ➡️Transportation: Bus schedules will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the half-day schedule. ➡️Breakfast/Lunch: Breakfast and lunch will be provided to students before dismissal. ➡️Staff: Central office and building-level staff are to follow their normal workday schedules. ❄️To help you stay cool during this heat wave, the City of Yonkers has set up Cooling Centers in various locations, equipped with seating, water, and air conditioning.
