Ok- We didnt get the screen count we wanted for I Love Boosters- but we got 1700, which is good. This means: if it's not on a screen near u tomorrow, it won't get there- unless we blow it out on 1700, then we can get more. So- please travel to a screen even if it's not close!

Someone recently told me I should stop pursuing film since I haven’t done much and that it’s time for a real job But I look at film like it’s the Olympics and each completed short film, webseries, feature, commercial is like a gold medal. And when that’s the case baby IM WINNING

Cinematographer Grieg Fraser is known for using a process called "film out" in which he scans his footage captured on digital cameras onto 35 or 70mm film prints, & then scanned back in order to achieve a more organic look which adds the more grainy, warmer shadows, and chemical based colors of film.
And it allows the flexibility & convenience of shooting with digital cameras on enormous sets, & for a skilled DP like Fraser, completely gets rid of the flat look of digital often seen in blockbusters.
He's done it with both Dune films, The Batman, and now Project Hail Mary. My favorite DP in Hollywood, maestro.

What the black man and woman is to basketball Is what the white man and woman are when it comes to film They are really just great at film/acting/writing/directing Yes we have some amazing actors And actresses as well Denzel being one of the GOATS Viola Davis and more But white people are really great at theater and acting and have been since the 1600s And they have a great appreciation for dialogue in art It’s nothing wrong with saying this

Dee Rees was rejected from USC film school.
She applied anyway to NYU and got in. Her thesis film Pariah became a Sundance hit.
Then Mudbound earned her an Oscar nomination.
Think about that. A rejection letter and she didn't stop.
Make the film. Submit it anyway. The door they shut is never the only door.

97 years. Zero wins.
None of these directors need an Oscar to validate their work or impact, but I’d still be happy to see Ryan win especially knowing that he understands this.
