A year ago this month, Hooters of America claimed bankruptcy. Known for their iconic orange shorts and white tank top outfits worn by Hooters Girls and signature chicken wings, there are no Hooters restaurants left in Las Vegas. They abruptly closed their OYO Las Vegas location last August with employees given little notice. Is Hooters ever coming back to OYO?

The gap between the highest and lowest paid in Britain is wider than at any point in modern history. Some CEOs earn more in a day than their workers earn in a year. Should there be a legal limit on how much anyone can earn?

Subsidising meals in parliament for MPs and Peers costs the UK taxpayer up to £7 million a year. Despite the public facing huge food price inflation, we pay MPs & Peers to indulge on cheap fine dining. It’s time to remove taxpayer funded subsidies on parliamentary food.

@JosephineCumbo I left USA 5 years ago in 2 different states (California,Washington) I was able to walk in, test & walk out with a drivers license. That process in the UNITED Kingdom would take about 3 years here!?!?

The lack of driving tests in England has cost my son a job opportunity. He was put forward for a graudate role, but needed a licence. Earliest test that could be booked was in August, which was booked in February. He was not put forward for the role. Hugely frustrating.

PFL is considering a rebrand, and one of the options on the table is bringing back Bellator —essentially turning PFL into Bellator again, per @arielhelwani Not final, not 100 percent —it’s just one of the options. #HelwaniShow

200 William Hill shops closing after tax hikes. This isn’t just betting shops, it’s jobs, high streets, and local economies. Under Rachel Reeves and Ed Miliband, the cost of operating in Britain is being pushed beyond viability. When businesses leave, tax revenue doesn’t rise, it disappears.

NEW: William Hill is closing 200 high street stores due to the "significant tax increases" announced by Rachel Reeves at the last Budget. thesun.co.uk/news/38687795/…

£26436.80 is the new min wage annual salary (40 hrs p/wk). And as the min wage rises, regular salaries don't. So many people will begin to ask themselves 'why am I working this highly stressful job that needed qualifications and a tonne of bullshit paperwork and police checks just to earn 5k more a year than I would stacking shelves at Lidl?'
