I extend my congratulations to @trahmanbnp and his party following their victory in the parliamentary elections in Bangladesh. I commend all citizens and institutions who contributed to a peaceful electoral process and referendum and reaffirm @CommonwealthSec’s commitment to supporting Bangladesh and its democracy.

Grateful to Fiji for the warm welcome ahead of the Commonwealth Law Ministers Meeting. With the rule of law under pressure globally, our meeting brings #Commonwealth together to strengthen the legal protections people rely on daily to live, work & prosper – our shared priority.

I was pleased to meet with H.E. Vikram Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India & Chair of the Executive Committee of @CommonwealthSec's Board of Governors. We discussed ways to strengthen our ongoing cooperation & advance the Secretariat's Strategic Plan priorities to deliver real impact for 2.7 billion people across the Commonwealth.
