Interesting to learn that everyone receiving homecare in Finland has one of these medication dispensing machines in their homes. For more supervision, there is a virtual support option with a wide angle lens which gives a remote support worker full view of the room.

For more insights into the potential role of a minimum data set for care homes and how the DACHA-DOM work flows from the @DACHA_Study, it is worth reading this excellent @GeriSoc report. bgs.org.uk/CareHomesData

To be fair, homecare has managed to infiltrate a couple of @BBCFarmingToday episodes. bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00… This is just a start, though. We want our own programme. In fact, we want our own social care soap opera. Editors/producers - please talk to us @CPA_SocialCare

Social care contributes 5x more than agriculture to the UK economy. As @vicrayner said the other day, how come we have @BBCFarmingToday and not #BBCSocialCareToday 292k people work in agriculture. 1.6m in social care. They all start work early. Come on @BBCRadio4

This is a very accurate example of home care in England. In the absence of standardised data collection on homecare clients we know very little about how the health, care, and support needs of people like Alice Taylor change over time and their quality of life.

"It is massively underestimated just how hard careworkers work," Emma Wilkinson, from Homecare Association members Different Care in Liverpool, tells @BBCNWT @msgilld. Full clip: youtu.be/J2rnNKbQ57M
