It’s not the lockdowns. It’s the covid. And honestly any expert that’s talking about the surges in infections we’re seeing without saying anything about covid immune damage in December 2023, with all this published data, is either woefully uninformed or outright dishonest.

This right here is the real immunity gap: the gap between how well people’s immune systems performed before covid vs after. Covid-naive immune systems outperform covid-infected ones. Even after vaccination.

See our evidence summary about behavioural prehab before surgery 👇🏼 TLDR: helping people to stop smoking before surgery can help them stay smoke free up to a year after surgery. Evidence on healthy eating, exercise and drinking is limited and mixed.

Does supporting patients to make healthy changes before surgery help them with their operation? Research from @NIHR_ARC_NENC, including @mcknz_fong and @JamesPrentis: tinyurl.com/29pkwera. Our Waiting Well PROSPeR #socialprescribing project is exploring this further.

Yet more evidence from the US on effectiveness of Covid vax in the under 5s - the last big group left facing their first infection. UK could give infants protection with vax but has chosen not to. see also theconversation.com/why-children-i…
