At 3:00 pm I went to the vehicle on the north side of the highway. Prior to filming, I asked him why he had been parked there for 3 hours. The first words out of his mouth were that he was an RCMP officer. He also told me he had been there for 2 days. He then started filming me, so I returned the favour and started filming him. He changed his story to being an investigator, when I challenged him about being an RCMP officer. 2/

Another weird incident today. Another volunteer is using my pop-up along highway 1A. He texted me just as I was heading downtown to do my call-in show on the @WesternStandar1 "Something odd happening here. There are two mini vans sitting with eyes on me. One in xxxxx' old spot, and one in the field approach 100 yds east. Both have been here for more than half an hour. " I got that message at 12:10 pm, and dispatched another volunteer to join them. I told them I would swing by on my way back around 3:00 pm. I mentioned the two vans in my show. 1/

@Martyupnorth I think he should resign for showing poor judgement. Two examples, without even considering his activist ruling… 1. Speaking publicly on controversial topics (the convoy). He should have STFU. 2. Allowing a bust of himself to sit on display in the foyer of his Court. 🤦‍♂️

Why are Canadians calling for Chief Justice Richard Wagner of the Supreme Court of Canada to recuse himself from the upcoming appeal of the Emergencies Act case? Easy. He's biased. In April 2022 (while the Ottawa protests were ongoing) Chief Justice Wagner made strong public statements criticizing the convoy: * He described it as the start of "anarchy." * He said protesters were holding citizens "hostage." * He reportedly characterized aspects of it in terms like "sedition" in interviews and remarks. These comments came before any full legal determination by any courts on the Act's use. This creates a reasonable apprehension of bias (the legal test for recusal in Canada). Any fair-minded observer might question whether he can impartially hear the appeal, given his pre-judgment of the facts and events central to the case. Question is; will he recuse himself?

The crazy old coot in the video was sent to harass us, plain and simple. I called her out. Cate's plan B is to try and discredit me with gross unfounded alegations about my home life. For the record, the person I was defending in the video is my wife Karen. Karen has been at our canvassing station, alongside others, for the better part of a month. Cate is a disgusting human.

@RiseOfAlberta For an Alberta born person there are no reasons(me). For legal immigrants (22-25%), would there status change in a post Canada Alberta. I think most people see the treachery coming out of Ottawa. But some may not support separation because of a perceived risk.

@Martyupnorth It's group think and feeling of safety in belonging to a large group. They don't want to think deeply they want comfort. That's the part that separation doesn't address enough. You focus on the upside and hope people are logical. They need to understand dark side of staying.

One thing I've definitely become more aware of, is that people really don't know how to debate. Folks just don't think deeply about anything. Most Canadians have a superficial understand of everything...at best. That's not just a problem limited to one side of the political spectrum

UPDATE The man in the video has now come forward and provided the following video to explain what he brought into Mitch Sylvester's store. Information that I have received includes - He avoided calls from the RCMP for several weeks - He left the store with the item - He is claiming it was just a misunderstanding - The RCMP still has an open investigation - Charges could still be filed - There was one item, not two as previously reported If this was infact the item he brought into the store along with his "This is for Mitch" message, this is hands down the dumbest thing anyone can do to the employees of the store, and to Mitch directly. There still is an active investigation as showing staff a bullet, or a pen that looks like a bullet, uttering a threat, and not responding to the RCMP for weeks, is still grounds for criminal charges. Thank you to the dozens of people who did recognize the man, and provided tips.

Alberta, Help us identify this man. He walked into Mitch Sylvestre's store, placed two bullets on the counter and said "These are for Mitch." If you know who this man is, contact the RCMP. Here's a statement from Mitch Sylvestre "We will take pictures of you and then we will put you up on the internet and then we will find you. We will identify you. Then we will charge you. And anyone that tells you to do that, we will charge them as well. We will take every step that we can to protect our people. We are conducting a legal democratic path laid out by the Supreme Court of Canada for Alberta Independence."
