@slashsteel14688 Rodgers Publicly said he wants $32 million & does not have a written offer from the Steelers yet. Rodgers is probably overplaying his hand. Wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers sign some QB to be QB#2 next week.

@DBAkron Aaron likes to take his time on his decision. We just will guess until there is no more guessing. I will say if I was planning on retiring I would have more than likely said it by now. I think he ends up resigning but that is just an opinion.

With the snag in Rodgers return, Mason Rudolph starting for 2026 looms greater. Thought might be to sign Josh Dobbs to be QB#2. He might do better in the Steelers system than the 17.4 NET pts/gm he got in other systems. Should do this sooner than later.

@roscoe_p_ny @AEM366 With just average QB play the 25 Steelers are a 12 win team. Rodgers was far less than average and at a year older there's no reason to think his 3.7 air yards per completion will improve.

I don't believe the report that Rodgers wants $30m. IMO it's a handshake deal like last year, probably after the draft at some point. However, think a lot of fans are like me, hope he retires. We can use some QB chaos to get answers, might as well, we are still in QB hell.

@slashsteel14688 3 things going on here 1) does Rodgers really feel he can handle another season. 2) Just how much his play in 2025 was really worth? 3) While Rudolph MIGHT prove better than Rodgers now, there isn't a QB available that will provide >20 pts/gm - QB room will be weaker or 2026.

I'm old enough to remember when Tebow first blew up at Florida. Always thought he had to have been hiding some big secret bc there's just no way anybody is really that good of a person. 20 years later he is the only guy I can think of who was built up by the media to be a saint and has actually lived up to it. Also has a higher playoff passer rating than Tom Brady.
