As someone who is currently in the middle of writing an ongoing longfic, genuinely the thing that makes me update faster is readers continued interest in every update. If you bookmark/comment you are the backbone of these works. Those are the people we're writing for.

people who read ongoing fics are actually the reason they get finished, hope this helps

@vbspurs Wait does that mean y’all don’t even do potlucks at work? Like that was a big deal pretty much everywhere I worked in the south—potluck days and / or “food competition” days that were an excuse to give someone who brought the best chili or soup in a $15 gift card.

You know how Americans have potluck dinners? Everyone brings a casserole or something? I've been meaning to tell you that I love that about you guys. So warm and friendly. Brits don't do this. It's considered bad manners to bring food to a person's home. We are so unalike.

I don't really care about the Oscars, but I absolutely adore how much love and recognition horror as a genre has finally been getting over the past year Certainly helps that there have been so many amazing, stand out films but it's also just generally a lovely turn of the tide
