For young faculty out there, make your own conclusions. I found it interesting to see the ups/downs of research (measured by pubs) as my career changed over the years. Some of the bars at the bottom might be off by 1/2 year...

@guzdial Thanks for sharing this. These rejections were disappointing and it seems negative comments from one reviewer has more impact than positive comments of other reviewer. I might be wrong but just my observation.

I had 0 acceptances for 3 submissions for ICER 2022, and 0 acceptances for 2 submissions for SIGCSE 2023. Disappointing, but it happens.

@AustinCorgiBart 2 ideas I did with my flipped CS1 classes: 1. Used poll everywhere to quiz students on concepts as well as answer to small coding problems (group/pair work) 2. Gave 2-3 codeworkout problems, collected solutions and compared different student solutions for the same problem.

#CSED what is the state of the art in how to spend class meeting times in CS1 undergrad when you've flipped the class? I feel like I am not sure what to do with all that lecture time I freed up. Peer Instruction? POGIL with worksheets? Adhoc work time? More lecture?
