Last year on June 19th, a ballistic missile fired by the Islamic Republic of Iran struck Soroka Hospital in Southern Israel. It’s now 9 months later and the Islamic regime is once again firing missiles at Israeli civilians, hitting cities like Tel Aviv, Dimona and Arad.

@MaitreyaBhakal Actually, Iran can't do anything close to that or it would. It is aiming at and killing civilians. Yesterday 4 Palestinian women in a beauty parlor in Hebron were killed by a missile. Day before, an elderly couple near Tel Aviv who couldn't get to the shelter fast enough.

Israel is so small that Iran can destroy all of its desalination plants and its entire power grid within just a few hours. Just imagine what will happen to the settler population then, without water and electricity.
Ask yourself why Iran is not doing that.

It seems to be the result of faulty intelligence, because the school was on a site that used to be part of an adjacent IRGC base that was bombed. In any case, Israeli forces weren’t active in the area and CENTCOM is investigating so don’t you dare try to pin this on us.

Here we have the governor of California Gavin Newsom @CAgovernor super spreading libellous misinformation about Israel. In this particular incident, the initial lie was sourced quickly back to fake news media, Al Jazeera.
Given the vulnerability that disinformation poses to peoples who are prejudiced against, public figures and politicians have to be held accountable for irresponsible and often hate speech.
There needs to be some kind of Vulnerable Communities Media Act, which requires public figures and politicians to reference facts on events before they speak. Someone has to come up with a solution that deals with public figures spreading false information. Given the strength of US constitutional protections, I don’t see this happening. We can’t relegate fact checking. Yet, we see elected officials around the world spread lies daily about Israel. The lies are picked-up online, and spread like wildfire. When the correction is published, no one could care less. The damage has been done.
For minority communities that are under attack, false accusations and hate speech are dangerous. They incite violence, scapegoating, and in its extreme, genocide.

A failed missile launch in Iran caused the projectile to fall on a school. Images captured the moment it failed, fell back to ground, and struck. The Iranians - just like the Palestinians in Gaza at the beginning of the war - immediately claimed it was a missile fired by the United States or Israel.
