Today would have been the 94th birthday of the great Stephen Sondheim. What better day to announce that, a year from now, I'll be coming out of sabbatical to conduct @LennyBernstein's Candide at @CurtisInstitute? It'll be a pleasure to return to Philly with such a fun project!

For a couple of years now, I’ve known that I need to take a “sabbatical,” to recharge physically, emotionally, & spiritually. It starts now! It’ll be great to relax at home on Cape Cod. Now is the time to take stock of what has been, enjoy what is, & contemplate what is to come.
