Atlanta Falcons@AtlantaFalcons
Congratulations to Michael Penix Jr. and his wife Olivia! 🤍
English

@AndrewKirbyGolf Its because it wasnt alllll about money or else they would have…clearly
English

@DCDIMEz Yes the ones that stayed played for free with no equity
….oh wait 🤦🏻
English

@HoppyHacker72 @josephfalcone97 Considering it still exists and the funding hasnt been pulled…id say theyre doing pretty well…just withstood a push from the biggest investment fund in the world
English

@DCDIMEz @josephfalcone97 Laying off people, losing money, and needing $1.5b in PE is exceptionally well? Glad Rory got the bag tho for being loyal tho lol
English

@HoppyHacker72 @josephfalcone97 Some were needed sure but not to this extent. Every top player wouldve taken the money if the tour didnt increase their purses. Theres a happy medium between taking less money and being able to stay home and it was the tours job to find that which the did exceptionally well
English

@DCDIMEz @josephfalcone97 How did another company force the big powerful PGA to do anything? Seems like with all the changes the PGA has done since LIV started would mean there was some merit to the complaints they got....I'm sure losing another anti-trust court case didn't help tbf lol
English

@jerichsen66 @AndrewKirbyGolf Thank you for proving my point. Pro golfers factor many other things than just money
Also there was maybe a handful of players in the top 50 that went to liv 😂
English

Plenty of reasons including but not limited to-
- International travel. No thanks. Stay in the US please
- With many of the top 50 moving to LIV, plenty of easier money to be made on the PGA Tour
- 54 holes and the crowd party format didn't appeal
- Anti-Saudi narrative, while ignoring all the Saudi /US investment elsewhere
- Believed the PGA Tour lies that there would be no way back from LIV to the PGA Tour
- Pressure from existing sponsors
- Losing access to the practice facilities available to PGA Tour members
English

@HoppyHacker72 @josephfalcone97 Liv absolutely did and the tour played the long run and won. Chess not checkers
English

@DCDIMEz @josephfalcone97 No one forced them to raise purses
English

@josephfalcone97 @HoppyHacker72 Nailed it. The tour isn’t close to being perfect but them having to raise their purses to unsustainable amounts is why they’re under water
English

@HoppyHacker72 They are losing money because they've been forced to pay ridiculous, unsustainable purses. Blame Phil.
Bryson and Rahm coming back doesn't fix that.
The reset is coming and it involves lower, sustainable prize purses.
English

@KylePorterNS Seve and others would like a word
Simple fact is that Rory and others go where the money is
English

You can feel Draymond’s embarrassment through the screen i’m dead hahahah
Awful Announcing@awfulannouncing
Draymond Green learning he has 43 games with more turnovers than field goals in the playoffs, tied with Kendrick Perkins for the most since 2003…but at least he's not Charles Barkley in a Rockets uniform
English

@jerichsen66 @SI_Golf @BobHarig And its also why the PGA tour is burning through money
Anyone with a brain knows that golfers are not worth as much as theyre currently being paid
English

LIV was very good for the bank accounts of many players and not just those who went to LIV. Many PGA Tour members have also done very well, in the bank balance department, since LIV arrived on the scene. As did many on the Asian Tour, thanks to LIV funding the International Series events.
Perhaps the "growing the game" was too much, too soon. "Taking the game", at an elite level where the PGA Tour had largely ignored or never cared about (it is a domestic tour after all), might have been less on the nose, but it some ways LIV was growing the game. Interest in the Asian Tour grew thanks to the Asian Tour/LIV collaboration.
English

The 2010 U.S. Open champion said he regretted "growing the game" talking points from early in his LIV years and that joining was "good for my bank account."

@NUCLRGOLF @BrysonLegion PGA is burning through money because of the cesspool of money that was being thrown around at LIV. They had to do something to compete with those absurd purses.
It was unsustainable then and proven even more true with PIF pulling funding. The tour will be fine.

🚨👀⛳️ #BREAKING — Bryson DeChambeau says he is prepared to pursue his YouTube channel’s growth and compete in tournaments “that want me” if LIV Golf folds, adding that he has had conversations with the PGA Tour.
“I think, from my perspective, I'd love to grow my YouTube channel three times, maybe even more.”
“I'd love to do a bunch of dubbing in different languages, giving the world more reason to watch YouTube. And then I'd love to play tournaments that want me.”
He admitted that the potential penalties he would face from the PGA Tour would be “quite unfortunate in my opinion, considering what I could do for them.”
“I was completely shocked (on PlF pullout), I didn't expect it to happen. A couple months before that, it's like, 'We're here until 2032. We've got financing until 2032, and so I told everybody, and that's what I was told.”
“And then, you know, I haven't had any
communication. And unfortunately, things are moving on in a different direction. Obviously, they wanted to move.”
"There's a few different models (on LIV future). Look, the PGA Tour isn't doing great either. Let's be honest about the situation. They've got the media.”
“They've got everybody on the side that helps pump it up. But they're reducing field sizes, cutting employees, and restructuring their business too.”

@GrowTheGolfGame @livgolf_league Keep coping you’ll eventually see the light
English

So the golf course would not have been in a playable condition for @livgolf_league to play is what I'm seeing 🤔
English

@RoyLangIII @keegan16murray That’s the first i’ve seen the one of the left and the fact it was cropped to right after goodell announced says a lot too
English

@DCDIMEz @keegan16murray Ive seen both a lot, so if they’re trying to bury it, they’re doing a terrible job
English

@RoyLangIII @keegan16murray No my point is social media trying to bury the one that is super awkward and weird and replace it with the one that wasnt even the moment he got drafted
English

@DCDIMEz @keegan16murray So you think when his name was announced on TV would been bettter just to sit there and not react?
English

@RoyLangIII @keegan16murray Its never been shown like this. Both videos were clearly trying to portray that he had just been drafted. The first one was awkward af so they did a redo.
English

@DCDIMEz @keegan16murray It’s a thing. Every year. People somehow still don’t realize how much time passes by between the call and the actual announcement on TV
English

@BobSuraFans @NUCLRGOLF @BrodyAMiller @TheAthletic What the hell do you think the PIF is you dumb faggot 😂😂😂
English

@DCDIMEz @NUCLRGOLF @BrodyAMiller @TheAthletic Been my stance since 2021 homie but if you like deep throating corporations that’s totally your call. I’ll just root for the golfers to make their own choices.
English

🚨👀⛳️ JUST IN — The New York Times is reporting that Bryson DeChambeau and his team spent part of Masters week “meeting with organizations to discuss possible options if he chose to leave LIV.”
