I have a job. But also don't have a job. I turn up at the office every day, always on time, ready to work. Except there's no work for me. And yes, I do ask for something to do. I basically get paid over £44k to sit at a desk scrolling through social media & watching Netflix.

@rtsrichard @darrenpjones @CommonsBEIS Prepayment meters are normally (outside of our current energy crisis when everyone is basically on the same tariff) at a higher rate without the cheaper tariff options available and the highest standing charge. At least make the fees equal.

@darrenpjones @CommonsBEIS What's unethical? If people get in to debt we offer them debt counselling and try to get them to budget better. A prepayment meter prevents them getting in to (more) debt with utility companies.

Quite remarkable that British Gas couldn’t even acknowledge their unethical forced installation of pre-payment meters today. The regulator Ofgem promises to take action against energy suppliers in breach of their licence conditions. We on @CommonsBEIS expect that to happen.

@MartinSLewis Yodal generally ok but always break a breakable item and refuse to pay out. Inpost one of the worst lockers always full, never emptied and I’ve examples of not being collected for a few weeks and not delivering for over 9 weeks on a 3-5 day item. Royal Mail is consistent but ££

@MartinSLewis Nope mines off as much as possible especially as I’ve been using less and feel the cold, but prices have gone up so much on the basic amount it’s a concern for the short spells it’s on.

An energy firm told me people hold out to put their central heating on, then once on it stays on for the rest of the winter. On that logic people will have turned it on during the Dec cold snap, and then even though it got as warm as before that after, kept it on. Did you?
