Seven dogs stolen from their owners have gone viral after escaping from an illegal transport truck and making their way home. They traveled around 17 km together, led by a corgi across highways and fields, now safely back with their respective owners..🐶🐾🥺❤️

@edwardbrgr Star Wars started though as something that was tonally slippery and playfully amorphous. That fearful brand management might be what's led to the Disney Star Wars era being so checkered. In fact, the best thing Kennedy championed, Andor, ended up being the most transgressive.

I’m a huge fan of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, but I completely understand why Kathleen Kennedy made that call. By all accounts, they came in thinking they were hired for their improvisational, comedy-driven sensibilities, encouraging actors to go off-script quite a bit, even without Lawrence Kasdan’s approval, which led to confusion about tone and performance direction on Solo and while that loose, inventive style can work beautifully in the right project, it didn’t really align with the tightly controlled, tone-sensitive demands of a Star Wars film, so even if it’s fascinating to imagine their version, the decision to pivot makes a lot of sense.

Absolutely love Solo, but, having watched the superb #ProjectHailMary, would love to have seen what Lord and Miller were cooking with the movie.

John Carney's Power Ballad is wonderful. Like most of the Sing Street's filmmaker's oeuvre, it's funny & universally accessible, but there's a weepy undercurrent apropos of an anthem. This is more melancholy & elegiac than previous work, and perhaps Paul Rudd's finest performance

Denis Villeneuve talked to us about how they are going to age Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya 17 YEARS in Dune: Part Three. He concedes “aging actors is more tricky” but he worked with makeup designer Heike Merker to come up with “subtler ways” of suggesting age for the characters.

Anya Taylor-Joy on Alia: “Alia has a very intense blessing/curse situation. She carries the weight and the wisdom of generations and generations in her head. She’s never in a singular conversation, she’s kind of everything everywhere all at once.“

Zendaya about the importance of these films in her life: “These movies have meant so much to me over the years. I literally have been able to grow up in my entire 20s doing them, so they have a special place in my heart, and all these people do as well.”

The DUNE: PART THREE trailer is here, and Denis Villeneuve told me and others yesterday that “If the first movie was more of a contemplation about a boy discovering a new world, and the second one is a war, then this one is a thriller. It’s more action-packed and muscular.”

Do you ever find yourself late at night at a hotel scrolling through what’s left of basic cable? As someone who cut cords nearly 15 years ago, it feels like coming across a ghost town or the ruins of a once great civilization that’s fallen into the sea.

The DUNE: PART THREE trailer is coming and you are NOT ready. It might just promise to be Denis Villeneuve’s grandest, and most foreboding, epic…

If I counted that right, Warner Bros. won 11 Oscars among three films that all crossed over $200 million worldwide. Definitely a hurray for Hollywood year—and also a studio that takes risk on movies that can be commercial and artistic…

My plane just landed in Los Angeles and even from 30,000 feet I could hear the backhand of Conan’s digs at Netflix. #Oscars (Also it shoulda been Stellan Skarsgard for Supporting Actor)

Back in January I predicted Michael B. Jordan would win Best Actor. Tonight let’s find out if I’m Nostradamus (and ignore I also predicted Stellan to pull off Best Supporting Actor…)

Jorma Taccone’s Over Your Dead Body takes what on paper reads like a Hitchcockian/Patricia Highsmith thriller about murdering a spouse, and turns it into an absolutely demented rom-com with Samara Weaving at her most delirious and Jason Segel at his most… sweetly diabolical?

Like all Radio Silence laughers, Ready or Not 2 is buoyant in its optimism and good vibes, even while staring into the abyss. If the world is doomed, we can take catharsis in a fantasy where Grace relaxes in her murder-gown while eviscerating the elite: denofgeek.com/movies/ready-o…

Elle Fanning is fab while juggling unfabulous mama trauma in Margo’s Got Money Troubles, but it’s Michelle Pfeiffer who really gets triumphant monologues which she reigns over. Also didn’t know I needed Nick Offerman as a wrestling heel in my life but I’m thrilled it’s here!#SXSW
