The Civilizational contract in the Rigveda,the starting point of Sanatan Dharma:  Rigveda is one of our oldest text,can be called as India's Bronze age text, more than 4000years old. It was formed after the battle of 10 kings,when the victorious king Sudas of Bharata Tribe, invited all the scholar, thinkers,seers and poets of the victorious as well as defeated tribes together to sit down and compile all their knowledge, information and mantras into 4 texts, which are now known as Vedas.Rigveda was one amongst those 4 texts. The first mention of the word Bharat is found here.The civilizational contract for Bharat is present in the last chant of Rigveda Hymn- 191 of Mandala 10:  Aikamatya Suktam (emphasizing importance of unity & harmony) – "समानो मन्त्रः समितिः समानी समानं मनः सह चित्तमेषाम् । समानं मन्त्रमभिमन्त्रये वः समानेन वो हविषा जुहोमि ॥ Assembled together, speak together, Let your  minds be one accord, Let all the ancient Gods take their rightful  place around the sacrificial fire. Their place is common, common the assembly, common the mind, so be your minds united,Common purpose do I lay before you,united in your resolve, may be perfect fellowship amongst you” It is also known as Aikamatya Suktam, emphasizing the importance of unity and harmony. This unique idea of assimilation as opposed to imposition, was the starting point of Bhartiya civilisation. ‘All Gods have a place around the sacrificial fire’ is our civilisational contract. The central theme is highlighting it's focus on civilisational unity and agreement and call for collaboration and working towards common goals and participate in united worship. This is the point of start of Santana dharma.

Ever wondered why gold is yellow? The answer is Einstein’s Special Relativity. What if I told you that 2000 yrs ago, Indian smiths cracked a metallurgical code that modern blast furnaces are still chasing? Pure iron melts at 1538 degrees C. Ancient bloomery furnaces usually maxed out at 1100 - 1300 degrees C. So how did they get liquid steel? The fact is, they did not melt the iron; they dissolved it. By packing the iron inside a sealed clay crucible (the Ghara) with carbon-rich organic matter (like Avaram leaves & Calotropis), they created a high-carbon environment. Adding carbon to iron acts like salt on ice, it lowers the melting point. At around 1.5 - 2% carbon, the melting point of the mixture drops significantly. The ancient Indian smiths were using plant chemistry to bring the iron’s melting point down to a temperature their charcoal could actually handle. 1 might ask why these specific leaves? Why not just wood/coal? Cassia auriculata (Avaram) & Calotropis gigantea are rich in organic compounds such as flavonoids, polyphenols, & hydrocarbons, along with trace minerals including manganese & silica. When these leaves decompose inside the sealed, oxygen-deprived crucible, they do not just burn. They undergo pyrolysis, releasing a complex gas phase of hydrocarbons. Recent studies suggest that the trace metals naturally present in these plants (like iron/manganese in the leaves themselves) acted as nucleation catalysts. These catalysts grabbed the carbon atoms from the decomposing leaves & spun them into microscopic tubes: Carbon Nanotubes.

There is a remarkable Physical Binary system that existed in the Indus Valley Civilization (IVC) almost 4500 yrs ago: long before Leibniz developed binary notation. Archaeologists found that the standardized weights of the Harappan civilization followed a clear binary-decimal hybrid system. The smaller weights progressed in strict binary ratios: 1 : 2 : 4 : 8 : 16 : 32 : 64 times the basic unit (≈ 0.85 g). After reaching 16, the system pivoted: larger weights then used decimal multiples of the 16 unit (160, 200, 320, 640, etc.). This hybrid approach was extremely efficient for trade. The number 16 became deeply embedded in Indian metrology. It survived for 1000s of years, most famously as 16 annas = 1 rupee, a standard that remained in use until India’s decimal currency reform in 1957. This was not accidental at all. 16 is a highly composite number (highly divisible by 2, 4, & 8), making repeated halving & subdivision very practical. Harappan merchants had developed a sophisticated binary-based weighing system optimized for commerce while much of the ancient world was still using far less flexible systems. It was not true hexadecimal positional notation (like modern computing), but it was a brilliantly practical binary-decimal hybrid that gave them enormous advantage in trade & accounting....centuries before similar ideas appeared elsewhere.

In its place, they installed Macaulay’s “civilizing” education -- the Matriculation System: A system not designed to empower, but to condition. To manufacture clerks for the Empire. Not thinkers.
