What was left out of the Throne Speech……. Seniors Women and gender equality Workers Youth Disability Justice Diversity and equity Workers Housing Mental health and addictions Indigenous and Treaty rights Environmental protections I will never lift up a Throne speech that leaves out the majority of the Canadian population. Nation building means lifting up all people. I’m ready to hold the liberal government accountable!

Shouts of “Shame!” and “Where’s the Premier!” as the PC caucus rises to vote for Bill 5. Others scream “our land is not for sale!” Premier Ford is not in the legislature for the vote. Bill passes 71-44. “We’re going backwards on reconciliation!” a man shouts after the vote.

To Muslims who sat out the election because Kamala Harris was too ‘pro-Israel’: How do you feel now that the guy who beat Harris by a sliver just called for what appears to be the ethnic cleansing of 1.7 million Muslims in Gaza and for the US to take over the Gaza Strip.

Trump's threatened 25% tariff on Canadian goods could begin as soon as Feb. 1. What if a 230-year-old law could allow Indigenous businesses to develop an inside track and sidestep the whole thing? Some are saying it's time to test the Jay Treaty. ricochet.media/indigenous/the…

Survivors of Ralph Rowe continue their healing journeys from the abuse they suffered as children. Rowe was a former police officer, church minister and boy scouts leader and was one of Canada’s most prolific pedophiles.

We stand in solidarity with @IPCOunified and are deeply disappointed by yet another delay tactic by Canada in the human rights hearing. Indigenous police deserve equitable funding and recognition now—not endless postponements. cbc.ca/news/canada/su…

Canada is here to lend a helping hand. Canadian water bombers are already in action on the front lines in California. I have also asked @ParksCanada firefighting resources to be on stand by, should additional resources be required.

It was an honour today to celebrate a historic moment as our service, the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service became a service under the CSPA; it’s no longer just a program. For over a decade we fought for the same standards of policing and it felt good to get to this finish line.
Nishnawbe Aski Nation@NANComms

Today leadership from across NAN territory participated in a historic announcement as the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service has become the first legislated Indigenous police force in Ontario. Read the full release here: nan.ca/news/nishnawbe…
