DAREDEVIL #183 Category: Clear Label Variant: Rare Edition: 861 Now if you enjoy digital storytelling, well you may just appreciate this one.... First Ever 'Metaversal Comic Store' Purchase! So, you read it right. Daredevil #183 edition number 861 may look random to many, but back on March 6th 2025 a certain @MrktSmart made the first ever purchase of a digital comic book from a Metaversal Comic Store. And with our guy Chris Severs being a huge Daredevil fan, while also appreciating the 861 mint due to its link to the release of Fantastic Four #1 (Aug-61), the comic Chris decided to buy in homage to favorite superhero was the excellent Daredevil #183, edition 861. The purchase took place at the California Comics store in the VeVeVerse (@veve_official), marking the official opening of the @CaliComicsStore. This piece holds a special place in Chris' collection. If you would like to read more and hear Chris' collectors story, then head on over to our DGC website where the article has been published. Link is in the comments.

DGC GRADING GUIDE - RAPHAEL Where do we start on this outrageously cool digital collectible! Dropping tomorrow on @veve_official platform, Raphael is the third instalment from the TMNT franchise, with Michelangelo & Leonardo previously being served to us fans, like a bodacious slice of NYC pizza. There will be some hardcore TMNT fans that have Raphael as their main guy and we expect to see several sizeable bounties from the digital collecting community for this very special drop. Edition Size Let's talk numbers. The Common variant, the classic style, has a total edition size of 2987, whereas those lucky enough to hit the Special Edition will be one of potentially only 87 to hold that unreal comic style variant. And for those who are a fan of the trench coat variant can be treated to only a maximum of 487 editions. Special Mints Now clearly the team at VeVe recognize the importance of the year '87 based upon their edition sizes, which nods to the significance of the year that we first were introduced to the loveable characters on-screen. For some collectors, they will be focused on the '84 themed mints, with 1984 being the year that the Turtles debuted in their original & transcending comic. However, we are going to look at some of the cool edition numbers relating to the hyper-nostalgic 1st series of TMNT Topps trading cards. Released by Topps in 1989, there were 88 cards in the set, and 99 total when you include the 11 stickers. The legendary trading card company Topps, was founded in 1938, with their iconic logo being introduced since 1981. You could even consider the coolness of 1952, which is the year Topps started implementing a stick of chewing gum within the packs, which is such a simple but innovative approach, and hugely popular. So, while there are so many significant and unique edition numbers to seek, if you are fans of the trading cards (like we are), then here are some numbers you may be interested in 38, 52, 81, 88, 89, 99, 1938, 1952, 1981 & 1989. Of course, nothing we write about relates to financial advice, and this perspective of the TMNT x Topps edition numbers is not referencing what may or may not grade high, but this short analysis does highlight the diversity and fun in mint number collecting. DGC: Digital Grading Company If you secure a Raphael collectible that you are proud of and wish to display in a graded format, whether that be to showcase the grade or tell the story behind the piece, then contact us at DGC. Good luck on the drop… COWABUNGA

@TheNFTGrit @veve_official Appreciate the comment, but just to confirm, and as we mentioned in the post, this isn't us prioritizing any other mint over another, but instead just some insight into the diversity of mint collecting. It goes without saying the 'Founding Fathers' are absolute legends.

Killer breakdown on the edition sizes, DGC! I love how you’re highlighting the narrative value. However, I’m surprised to see the Topps trading card years (1938, 1952) prioritized over the Founding Fathers of the franchise. While the Topps history is cool, the real 'Legacy Mints' for a long-term curator have to be the birth years of the creators: 1954 (Peter Laird) and 1962 (Kevin Eastman). To me, a mint linked to the men who sat at that kitchen table in 1983 and sketched the first Turtle carries way more 'Genesis' weight than a trading card company's founding date. If we are talking about grading the story behind the piece, the creator's DNA is the ultimate provenance. Cowabunga!

DGC GRADING GUIDE - AVENGERS #8 (1998) Dropping today on the @veve_official platform, Avengers #8 from 1998 shows-off pure nostalgic late-90’s artistic hallmarks, while the other cover variants available also follow that same theme, with the Secret Rare cover being a whole lot of 90's AWESOMENESS. Edition Size With an edition size of 1000 it means the four-digit historical & key years will be unavailable. Similarly, with the first public edition being number 100, the two-digit year for Marvel founding (’39), Marvel era (’61), Avengers FA (’63) and the publication year (’98) will not be available to the public due to them being held back. Special Mints So, let’s get down to business. Where are some of the gems between 100 to 1000? First focusing on what would grade very high within our Historic category. Without the 1998 publication year, there could be a chase for the publication month-year / year-month (e.g. 989 / 998), matching the Sep-98 / 98-Sep date. Again, considering the higher graded edition numbers, the first public and last edition will score fantastically well within the Mint category, achieving a 9.9 & 10.0 respectively, however, if edition numbers 100 & 1000 are not minted prior to the burn event, then the next lowest & highest will take their place. While those with a thirst for the creative approach may aim for the mega sequential of 123-456-789 edition numbers, which would be rather spectacular if successfully pulled off. Even though the higher graded pieces will be at a premium due to the scarcity of this drop, and the fact the first 99 editions will be held back, there will be plenty of unique and special editions to seek out, especially when considering other meaningful month-year / year-month dates, binaries, angel and palindromes numbers. Physical World Comparison And how does Avengers #8 do in the physical world (data via GoCollect). Avengers #8 (1998) tops out at a 9.8, with only 18 issues currently existing on the census. The FMV for a 9.8 shows as $90, however with no recorded sales in the past 12 months and only a total 32 copies of this comic on the census, the value of this comic could potentially be deceiving. DGC: Digital Grading Company If you are looking to get an item graded, whether that be from this drop or a prior drop, then simply drop us a DM on socials or make a submission via our website. Good luck on the drop… and happy hunting!

PARTNERS STATUE Category: Clear Label Variant: Ultra Rare Edition: 1971 We are pleased to now add to the 'Clear Label' section of our DGC website this truly special piece, the Partners Statue edition number 1971. The year 1971 is arguably one of the most significant years in The Walt Disney Company's history, which is marked by the opening of the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on October 1st 1971. So, what is the Partners Statue? This iconic statue of Walt Disney & Mickey Mouse was built back in 1993, and was installed at Disneyland in California, while the digitalized version was dropped on the @veve_official platform on November 12th 2021, as part of the Golden Moments collection, marking this a landmark day in the digital collecting space. A big thank you to the owner, @DrPhygital, who shared his story with us on why this piece is so special to him personally. Please find below in the comments the link to where this beautiful piece is showcased on our website.
