Proposal 140924 has been rejected, and now we’re dealing with the consequences.
I’ve mentioned this multiple times: we need a way to protect the NNS from spam and advertising abuse.
If the argument is “this is democracy and they lose 25 $ICP,” just keep in mind that 25 ICP (~$60) is nothing for someone holding millions. It’s basically a cheap way to advertise to thousands of people.
I’m not saying we should go against democratic processes. I’m saying we should make it harder for bad actors.
If someone wants to use the NNS to push their narrative, fine, but at least make them pay a meaningful amount, not pocket change.

I think everyone should accumulate under $3 regardless of any potential lower low or double tap of $2 like miss that and buy at $5+ $ICP is super capable of high volume pumps after long periods of pessimism and faithlessness. Then you're like, wow how did I miss that opportunity

My theory on $ICP Currently in blue bubble, heading into red. Time and scale increases each ICP cycle. This brings the next pump to fib level 3.618 @ $69 after the most parabolic pump (pink bubble) to ~$30 & then ~$50 as shown here. Guesstimate: Recovery JUL-OCT Pump OCT-DEC

Mission70 reward cuts sound good on paper; less minting+less sell pressure = higher price.
BUT the APY on our locked 8year neurons drop 12.3% to 7%. We'd need 1.75x price appreciation just to break even on lost yield.
Emission cuts help. They DON'T guarantee it. Adoption does.

@Zero2HeroZombie One neuron from Dom could probably swing it. Most of Mission70 feels more like marketing than action. The tighter this gets, the more it drives people to stake and lock up ICP — so when the real vote happens, I think it turns into a landslide. Probably the plan all along. 😉
