@RMapleCan Isn't it sad that the "most challenging economic conditions of your history" is when your neighboring country doesn't give you free money?

That’s our Prime Minister. He’s not only an expert economist who is steering us through the most challenging conditions of our history… he’s a sports fan, a music fan, and appreciates everything Canadians are proud of.
Stephano🍁Barberis@HelloStephano

Love this guy! We’re so fortunate to have a PM who is in love with Canada, our people and our culture, unlike Poilievre, who spends his time on shows of US podcasters who hate our country. BTW, Poilievre wasn’t at the Junos.

BREAKING: Spain just blocked US war planes targeting Iran from flying over its territory. Airspace closed. Military bases denied. No participation. The entire country is now off-limits. Spain is refusing to be complicit. All other European/NATO countries need to follow suit.

@joeroganhq He's only saying this because midterms are coming fast. Dems will pretend they're moderate for a short while until elections are over.

@007GoldMiner @mdt546 Then just say that you're concerned about your personal interests. Don't pretend like the U.S needs Canada. You should be concerned about what your government is taking from you - if they had your interests in mind then they would make economic peace with their neighbors.

The idea that Canadas problems begin with the US is problematic for Canadians They do not. They begin with the Canadian mindset that we can be friends with the US without ever having earned that friendship, and that the US should look after us just because we’re good people is naive and self serving. We were constantly looking for breaks, like demanding our exemption to their Buy America programs as if we had the same rights as a state but roil at that idea. The whole notion that we should be able to rely on US for national defence so that we can pour all that money into social programs (most of which don’t work) and then sit on the fence carping at their war mongering is hypocrisy to the highest degree. We’re constant taking from them and rarely giving anything back and then “tsk tsk” at them for not being as woke as we are. We resent them for always standing up for themselves because we’re so used to politicians and media that act against our own country I don’t like Trump, but hes done us a good turn by giving us a good kick in the ass which may wake us up to our own lazy self serving nature

So Trump puts a tariff on Canadian aluminum... Which leads to Canada selling most of it to Europe instead... Trump instead imports it from his dictator buddies in the Gulf, and now that's cut off... And now there's nothing left to buy from Canada lol
Scott Lincicome@scottlincicome

And maybe worst of all, the tariffs have pushed Canada - a massive aluminum producer, close ally, and member of the US defense industrial base! - to sell less to US firms and more to others, making America more reliant on... Middle East producers now hit by the Iran war. /6

@joeroganhq Bill Maher's schtick is to disagree with everyone and then act like he has supreme wisdom. I genuinely don't understand why anyone watches/listens to him. He is right in this case though.

In Thailand fuel is being rationed Australia is fucked Europe is ~$11 a gallon Meanwhile in Florida its $3.9 or £0.77 a liter. Americans simply are not feeling the real effects of this war, most you get is a grumble about price whilst the rest of the world dies.

"when some Americans tell you to stay out of America's business because I don't live there" I’m Canadian. 🇨🇦 And when a U.S. president threatens my country, disrespects Canadians, and impacts the world, It becomes my business too. I'm based in France, but 43% of my audience is American. I know many of us are in the same situation. To reach a wider audience, all my posts are in English, the international language. Those who cause trouble may be punished, but with this change, which will significantly reduce our earnings, you're also penalizing a number of accounts that use the international language without any ill intent. X tells us that videos and new, high-quality content will be prioritized, but this change will, on the contrary, drastically reduce our earnings. Is there any way to reverse this decision, please?🥺 @XCreators @X @nikitabier @elonmusk

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.
