Tomorrow is 21 March.
Some call it Human Rights Day.
Some call it Sharpeville Day.
65 years ago, 69 people were killed for walking to a police station without their pass books. Robert Sobukwe led that march. This week, his grave was vandalised in the town just renamed after him.
So we're asking you —
How do you remember this day?
Do you call it Sharpeville Day or Human Rights Day?
And how are you observing it this year?
Drop a voice note: +2771 460 5169
Or tell us in the comments.
🕯️ However you remember — just remember.

We all have routines…
Same seat. Same order. Same route. Same mug. Same playlist.
But at what point does routine become a rut?
What’s that one habit you’ve had for YEARS… and can’t break?

🔴 A recap of how Morocco failed to be crowned African CHAMPIONS on the field of play!! A field that the referee allowed for play to continue!! 🔴

Even the New York Times, thousands of miles away from Africa, is reporting that the Africa Cup of Nations tournament was allegedly expected to be “rigged” in favour of Morocco before a ball was even kicked.
Morocco, a team that failed to prevail on the pitch, ultimately prevailed in Mr Patrice Motsepe’s appeals committee and has now been declared the winner two months after the final was played.
@CAF_Online has truly embarrassed Africa, reducing the continent to a laughing stock in the eyes of the world and football community. The world is laughing at Africa.
Even the former CAF Disciplinary Committee chairman, respected arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and current chairman of the PSL Disciplinary Committee, Raymond Hack, has dismissed the decision as a joke in an interview with Robert Marawa, further exposing the extent to which this saga has undermined the credibility of African football governance. Shameless!!

From @TheAthleticFC: Morocco being handed Senegal's AFCON title is ridiculous, but perhaps we should not be surprised, our columnist writes. Even before the tournament began, many Moroccans and other nations were certain the hosts would prevail. nyti.ms/4bxUYEL

Kids & Swearing… harmless or hard no?
Some parents say hearing the occasional swear word teaches kids timing, expression and humour…
Others say it’s a straight sign of bad manners and poor discipline.
A new study shows nearly half of parents say it’s NEVER okay…
but others admit — context matters.
So let’s talk about it (keep it clean though 😅):
Looking back… did hearing (or even saying) the occasional swear word teach you anything?
Or were your parents right to keep things polite and proper?

TOP MOMENTS WE WANT TO RE-LIVE 🕰️
If you could press pause… rewind… and live one moment again — what would it be?
Your first kiss?
Holding your child for the first time?
That one perfect holiday?
Or just a simple day when life felt easy?
A new poll shows most people revisit their best memories at least 4 times a week — and more than half say those moments still hit just as hard today.
Some of the top moments people want to freeze in time:
• The first time someone said “I’m proud of you”
• A perfect date that felt like a movie
• A childhood Christmas morning
• That first real paycheck
• The last time you laughed until you couldn’t breathe
So let’s talk about it…
If you could relive ONE moment — what would it be, and why?

STIR THE POT 🔥
At least 36 schools in Gauteng have already had their electricity CUT…
And over 100 more are next.
No lights. No power. No learning.
But here’s the question…
Should schools EVER be disconnected?
Because:
• Education is a constitutional right
• Kids are innocent in all of this
OR…
Does this give schools (and departments) a free pass to mismanage money?
Because:
• Households get cut off every day
• Businesses get cut off every day
• Why should schools be different?
Be honest…
Do we protect the learners at all costs…
or enforce the rules across the board?

Today would have been F.W. de Klerk’s 90th birthday.
He helped negotiate the end of apartheid and South Africa’s first democratic election.
But he also spent most of his career defending the system.
So how should history remember him?
As a reformer… or simply a politician who read the writing on the wall?

STIR THE POT!
THIS ONE IS GOING TO DIVIDE THE CONTINENT.
Last night, CAF dropped a BOMBSHELL. Senegal have been STRIPPED of the 2025 AFCON title. Morocco are now your African champions.
Here’s the thing — Senegal actually WON the final 1-0. They walked off the pitch in protest over a late penalty, came back, the penalty was MISSED, and they scored in extra time.
But CAF says the walk-off broke tournament rules. Result overturned. 3-0 forfeit to Morocco.
Now Senegal are taking it to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
We want to hear from YOU on Fresh Breakfast this morning:
🟢 Rules are rules. You walk off the pitch, you pay the price.
🔴 This is the biggest robbery in African football. Senegal won that match FAIR AND SQUARE.

AFTER 40 IS AFTER 40
Snoring. It's not just annoying. It's ending marriages.
A poll of 2,000 recently divorced people found that 47 per cent said their partner's snoring contributed to their break-up.
Three-quarters of those affected ended up sleeping in another room. And 85 per cent of those said it directly contributed to their divorce.
Half said it was a deal-breaker with new partners too.
It starts with the spare room. Then the pillow talk disappears. Then the closeness. Then the connection. And before you know it, you're two strangers living under the same roof who happen to share a surname.
How do you cope with your partner's snoring?
Have you been banished to the spare room — or have you done the banishing?
And has it changed your relationship?

POCKET MONEY POLITICS: What's Fair Pay for Kids at Home?
Let's talk numbers.
What do you give your kids each week — and what do they have to do for it?
Some parents pay per chore. Some give a flat allowance. Some say kids should help around the house because they live there — no payment necessary.
And then there's the kid who negotiates a raise before they've even made their bed.
Are we teaching our children about money, responsibility and work ethic — or are we accidentally raising tiny employees who won't lift a finger without a fee?
And the tooth fairy? What's that rate looking like ??
What's the going rate in your house? And what do you expect for it?

Government says "don't panic" about fuel.
Meanwhile:
The Strait of Hormuz is shut down.
3 of our 6 refineries are closed.
We have only 21 days of oil reserves — and it's crude that still needs refining.
Farmers in the Free State already can't buy diesel.
A R3 to R6 per litre petrol hike is coming in April.
We survived load shedding.
Are you ready for petrol-shedding?
Some countries tell people to work from home when fuel gets scarce. Would YOU welcome that — or would SA collapse without the commute?
