Wahoo has our Sun woken up! Region 4405 just fired an X1.5-flare & we're still in radio blackout conditions. You can see the sizeable blast wave in the animation. This blast also comes with a big solar storm launch at the hairy edge of the Earth-strike zone! We could see impact by late March 31.

5 days ago I broke my back in a really bad snowboarding accident. 5 days later I documented an historic Bomb Cyclone blizzard completely paralyze Long Island, New York. Thanks to one of my best friends @MesoMax919 and the help of some very nice folks on my flights and at American Airlines this trip was possible to make despite my injury. We received nearly 30 inches of snow out here, 65mph winds, and dozens upon dozens of vehicles stranded all over the island including Fire Fighters and EMS while responding to calls!
