On this day in 1999, Owen Hart died. Born in 1965 in Calgary, he was one of the top wrestlers of the 1990s. During a match in Kansas City, the equipment lowering him to the ring malfunctioned and he fell 24 metres. The impact severed his aorta and he died within minutes.

The problem as I see it in social media is the hockey fan has turned the media into the villain. We do our jobs, ask questions, some better than others. Tortorella doesn’t have to answer but nothing wrong with trying to elicit a response

I think this is a completely reasonable question to ask and just as reasonable for Tortorella to not have a comment. Everyone is doing their job here. Expecting reporters to always defer to the press release / company line is a slippery slope, even in low-stakes media like sports

What are the Beatles rated? Typically, they’re ranked #1 all-time.
I have them #2, which makes them *slightly* overrated. They’re still phenomenal and did it all in only 7-8 years or so.

@DJordatron Discography is just deeper and better overall because of the longevity*. The fact it’s even close is a testament to how unreal the Beatles were.

@yegjesseallen My 9 year old is really into greek mythology right now. I'm loving it. It started with books about actual greek mythology then into Percy Jackson. She's listened to every podcast episode of "Greeking Out". I told her she won't be old enough to watch my man Nolan's film.

In college I wrote a paper on the premise that Odysseus was a grade-A bullshitter and how much the theme of cannibalism ran through the various episodes, that they probably got shipwrecked and resorted to drawing lots This made my professor so irate she wouldn't even grade it
