Media release from @MaranaPD regarding the attempted carjacking at the Premium Outlets at I-10 and Twin Peaks yesterday morning: "MEDIA RELEASE: Marana, AZ – On April 23rd, 2026 at approximately 4:30 AM, the Marana Police Department responded to the parking lot of the Tucson Premium Outlet Mall in reference to a report of an attempted armed carjacking. Officers located the male victim, who was associated with a 2025 Ford Mustang. He was confronted by a male pointing a rifle at him and at one point was physically struck with the rifle. There was another male accomplice in proximity when the physical confrontation and assault was taking place. The armed suspect was unsuccessful with starting the Ford Mustang. The suspects fled the scene in their own vehicle, which was a Chevrolet Impala. During the initial response officers located two females nearby and determined they were with the two suspects when the assault took place. The investigation revealed that an argument ensued between the two male suspects and the females. One round was fired in the direction of one of the females during this altercation, however nobody was struck or injured from the gunfire. The two male suspects fled the scene, leaving the two females and the initial carjacking victim behind at the Tucson Premium Outlet Mall. With the assistance of the Tucson Police Department’s Operations Division South Bravo Unit and SWAT, the two male suspects and the suspect vehicle were located at a residence near E. 36th Street and S. Kino Parkway. A search warrant was served at the residence, which led to evidence of the crimes being located and the two suspects were arrested. The suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Austyn Spurlock and 21-year-old Arturo Gonzales. Both have been booked into the Pima County Jail and charged with the following: -2 Counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (Class 2 Felony) -1 Count of armed robbery (Class 2 Felony) -1 Count of theft of means of transportation (Class 3 Felony) If you have any information related to this incident, please contact the Marana Police Department at 520-382-2000. I know not a lot of people see my posts, but any and all prayers are appreciated. I was told by my oncologist that in her estimation I have about 14 months left. God has the final say, but it still shook me up. I’m still trying to process it all.

SISTER HEALTH UPDATE: I spoke to my sister today. She is in a convalescent facility for the next 20 days after her quadruple bypass surgery. She was having a hard time today. It's a little bit difficult for her to breathe. She's in a facility with people that are much older than her and many of them not altogether there mentally so she feels a little out of place. She's lonely and a little bit afraid right now because of the breathing problems. I just visited her yesterday and will stop by again tomorrow. I brought her lots of snacks and comfort food. Please keep her in your prayers.

@FmrRepMTG I almost have to laugh, you’re right war footage either Ukraine, Gaza, Lebanon or Iran is basically absent. The truth may have been a little more in our faces during the Vietnam war but after that it’s 1 lie after the next.

At this time in history, mankind has more cameras recording everything that’s happening all over the world yet people are kept in the dark, not shown actual war footage and the truth of what is really happening in Iran, Lebanon, and Gaza. War used to be broadcasted on the nightly news now you are only told by the talking heads what is happening and what you are supposed to think about it. Most of the videos we see are from people’s cell phone videos that they managed to post on the internet somehow and even then many times it gets censored. And many of the war journalists that tried to cover the atrocities in Gaza were killed by the IDF so that the world wouldn’t know the horrors. Yesterday, Trump announced at a campaign event in Arizona that he ended more wars, claiming Israel would stop bombing Lebanon yet soon after he bragged, Israel started bombing Lebanon again. Trump also claimed the Strait of Hormuz is open and China is happy as he looks forward to their meeting. Yet overnight, Iran closed the Strait and has fired on multiple ships. There is a giant gap between the President’s Truth Social post and speeches and actual real truth and this must be rectified. The most concerning part is actual events contradict the President and suggest that he has lost control over his war in Iran. Trump is not a peace president nor is he a Truth teller.

My Doctor and surgeon stopped by again today. He said that I am doing well due to the extent of the surgery and walking around the floor as directed. He will advance me to a regular diet starting at dinner tonight, and then discharge to health care nurse and home when I resume normal bowel functions. So far, I am only passing flatus. Surgery went well. They had to remove my appendix while doing the reversal surgery so another big surgical incision. They had to remove my appendix because it and my small intestines fused together which caused me some issues and they couldn't separate them. God is Good!

Heading to the hospital early tomorrow morning for my 3rd cancer-related surgery. Surgery is at 6:30 AM, and while my surgeon has explained the risks, there are always potential complications afterward. I’m feeling anxious and can’t sleep, so I humbly ask for your prayers for safe travels, healing, and peace. Thank you for standing with us.
