Honestly, I feel like Lens Protocol could be one of the next projects heading toward shutdown soon.
It feels like @LC has lost direction. The team is barely active now - only 3–4 tweets a month on X.
A few years ago, Lens NFTs were one of the most hyped assets in Web3.
• Hard to get a Lens handle
• Multiple hints about a possible airdrop
Because of this, the price of a Lens NFT went from ~$2 to nearly $250.
The community didn’t sell.
Why? Because everyone believed:
“Lens NFT holders will get a massive Airdrop.”🪂
Since getting a Lens handle was difficult.
People were buying them for $200–$250, hoping for future rewards.
But what happened next?
The team started selling thousands of NFTs, taking advantage of the hype created by those hints.
Later they made Lens handles public, meaning anyone could mint them.
And until today:
• No token
• No airdrop
• No clear direction
