Hell of a season for the Aggies. Way to make us all proud! I wish college athletics were such that we could see most of these guys (and Coaches)back but unfortunately that's not the case so we just have to take it year by year.

Ordering carnivore at a restaurant. Me: Could I get the ribeye, please. Just the steak, nothing else. No sides, no sauce. Waiter: Just... the steak. Me: Yes please. Waiter: No chips? Me: No thank you. Waiter: No salad? Me: No. Waiter: There's a béarnaise that comes with it. Me: I'm fine, thank you. Waiter: [looking at the table as though expecting more people to arrive and correct the situation] It's very good, the béarnaise. Me: I'm sure it is. Waiter: And nothing to start? Me: Just the steak. Waiter: [writing this down with the energy of someone transcribing an unusual will] Is everything alright? Me: Yes, very much so. Waiter: Right. [He takes the menu. He comes back thirty seconds later.] Waiter: Are you sure about the chips? Me: Completely, yes. The steak arrived on a plate the size of a cartwheel, in the centre of which sat the ribeye, alone and magnificent. The waiter brought it over with the expression of a man delivering disappointing news to a large family. The steak was exceptional. I ordered another. The waiter wrote this down without meeting my eyes.

@Softykjr My mom never got to see a Super Bowl win. She passed the year before. I think of her, and all the fans that never got to see 1 let alone 2. Can never take it for granted. Go Hawks!

@Softykjr I think of my mom who passed away in 2012. She loved the Mariners. But my dad is still here. I want it for him to see this while he can

Had to put a few thoughts down... It's going to be hard for me to sleep tonight. Been reflecting all day on this and it's overwhelming to think that this could be the final night that we ever spend as Mariner fans without knowing what it's like to be going to the World Series. Almost 50 years of waiting could be over by this time tomorrow.  Only team to never play in the World Series.  That label has stuck with us our entire lives and its really a part of our DNA as baseball fans. Who we are. Always on the outside looking in. Watching somebody else accomplish the things that we've been dreaming about. The butt of jokes. Always looking up and seeing that list of World Series appearances and seeing a big fat ZERO next to our team. Sitting here tonight, thinking about the idea that all of that could change tomorrow night is stirring up all kinds of emotions that are unlike any other sporting event I've ever been a part of. I've been nervous as hell before games. But this is different. This is about the biggest scar suddenly going away and replacing it with the biggest dream we've ever dreamed. I don't think this would just be a sporting event. I think it would be one of the biggest accomplishments in this cities history. And to me, it's all because of the wait. It's all because of what we had to go through to get here. One of my favorite things that we've ever done on KJR is the Friday before Super Bowl 48 and the Friday before Michigan played Washington for the national championship was taking calls from people telling us who they wanted the Seahawks and Huskies to win the title for. People calling up crying, talking about their parents, brothers and sisters, kids, aunts and uncles, coworkers and friends. I wish we could be on the air tonight to do that segment and hear everybody say who they want to win this for tomorrow. I know everybody has somebody. I have my dad who passed away three years ago and the Mariners that fall immediately ended the playoff drought and the next season the Huskies played for the national championship and here we are at the doorstep of a World Series. I wish so badly that he was here to be part of this with me. I wish everybody who dreamed about this could be here to see this. There's nothing more I want than for the fellas to wrap this up tomorrow night. I don't know about you but the last game feels like the biggest most challenging step yet and I desperately hope they can take it. The franchise deserves it. Players deserve it and above anything else, we deserve it. We've been waiting a long damn time for this and man what a beautiful sight it would be to see our patience get rewarded tomorow in Toronto. I want this so badly for us. I know you do too. If any players happen to see this, kick their ass for us tomorrow night guys. And go be heroes.  Go Mariners.
