@mcconkey78 Two suggestions I just found said to enter it in playwriting competitions, and to connect with local theater groups to see if they're interested. Also, some theaters may agree to do a staged reading.

@DLM_Author Well, that im not really sure on. If someone wants to bring it to the stage somewhere, they just have to clear it with my publisher bc of rights or whatever. Which id love to see it live. But I dont know if anyone will ever direct it.

@mcconkey78 It's quite an accomplishment doing something you've never done before. Are you looking for someone to produce it now? How does that work?

@DLM_Author Thank so much! I'd only written novels and shorts and when I talked to my publisher about doing a play, they were all in. But id never wrote one before. Wasn't easy and I dont know if ill do another. For me, it was super hard!

@mcconkey78 Thanks so much! Congrats on your play too. I'm not sure I could write something like that. I need to study up on writing scripts. I'd like to try turning my standalone novels into scripts someday, but I need to do some learning before I even attempt it.

@DLM_Author Well, you've got an impressive run there and I know it had to be a LOT of hard work over the years! Happy for you and what you accomplished!

@mcconkey78 God, when I realized it had a plot hole like that, it just deflated me, because I was already a fair amount into the story. I'm just glad I caught it when I did, and not after it was already published.

@DLM_Author Oh that's awesome! You can't be that one a few sentences fixes it.

@mcconkey78 No, but oddly enough, I found a plot hole in one of the books that made the whole story irrelevant. I thought about it for a few days, and then came up with a three sentence fix that not only fixed the plot hole, but it became a part of the series canon.

@DLM_Author Looking back, is there anything you would've done differently with the series in terms of plots?

@mcconkey78 October of 2013. Published the 21st book, which was supposed to be the last one, on Oct 31st, 2016. Then in May 2023 I published what became the actual final book in the series. Before the 21st book, I did my first unrelated standalone novel, and after the final, I did my second.

@DLM_Author I totally understand! When did you start the first book?

@mcconkey78 Wasn't the writing, oddly enough. The writing just flowed out of me. The hardest part was all the editing. That was super time consuming and took an inordinate amount of focus to catch typos, double words, etc... That, and writing a synopsis for each one. What a pain.

@DLM_Author What was the hardest part of writing a series like this for you?

@mcconkey78 Thanks! It was a long haul, and in the end it was hard to say goodbye to the series and the characters that had almost become a part of my family, but I loved every minute of it.
