I made a dumb thing a while back that got more popular than intended, might as well lean into it now, here's sArCaSm-BoT for discord (Yes the image in the readme is broken, no I haven't bothered fixing it) github.com/DLMousey/sarca…

Fog of war when fighting stuff like this is immensely important. It's been clear throughout this that Respawn has been working in the background. Companies are bound in situations like this and cannot tip their hands. Glad this is public. You love to see it.

@iamjonjackson @sandeep_22_ I think it's checking for different types of quote marks, note the spacing and size being slightly different. Been bitten by this before, user was pasting in quotes and ended up with "A" either side of the quote on display, turned out it was a pseudo element with content "A"

HEARTBREAKING: Software engineer has to turn around, take out one earbud, and say "huh?" when someone asks them a question even though they finally got in the coding groove

@Austen Timings of processes in store are tight enough to make it more or less accurate. Ovens when I worked there were 7 minutes end to end, 3 minute target pre-oven, 20 minutes from door to door. There's not a lot of ambiguity to account for, until things back up then it goes to hell

And credit where credit is due: an operational machine that can guarantee pizzas are ready based on time since order is perhaps even more impressive

I was very very sad when I learned the Domino’s pizza tracker is entirely fake (based solely on time since order), but I have to commend whatever engineer suggested doing that instead of spending $200 million building out the infrastructure to support it being real

@JustinDKruger @LinusTech @GamersNexus Thermal mass, there's a lot more material than just the liquid (not water, wouldn't want to drink it) absorbing heat The coolant (not water) is just an efficient way of moving that heat energy to the radiator where it's transferred to the air, that's why it's always moving

@LinusTech @GamersNexus if new CPUs from AMD can reach 95C, near the boiling point of water, then how do water coolers work at altitude, or if the CPU hits 100C? Is water cooling dead? What do we use instead?

@CaptainNewDeal @DGrantChandler @mhdksafa Look at this way, it's a series about espionage and spies, how everything works is supposed to be a closely guarded secret. Maybe whichever agent gets the 007 title has their identity changed as part of the process. The mystery and unanswered questions add to the fun 🙂

@DGrantChandler @mhdksafa They've always played it like he's the same guy. James Bond 007. Of course,it got silly a long time ago. They should have just acknowledged that it's a cover identity with different agents, but they must have thought it would weaken the character. Maybe he's a Time Lord.
