Setting aside the fact that it's illegal for armed federal agents to be present at polling places, Border Patrol and ICE agents routinely detain U.S. citizens simply because they're Latino. So their presence at the polls might well deter Latino Americans from voting, simply because they don't want to deal with the hassle of being detained because of the color of their skin or because they have an accent.
