Good on Connor Clattenburg, 20, drafted 160th in 2024, making his NHL debut tonight. The Oilers sought someone who would bring energy in a limited-minutes, fourth-line spot at FLA. The choices were Clattenburg or Max Jones. They didn’t have enough cap space to recall Jones.

What a disappointing loss for EDM.
Calvin Pickard was outstanding but allowed a goal late in the third and another in OT.
Jack Roslovic just missed a chance to win the game for the Oilers before Jake Guentzel ended it.
The Oilers fall to 2-3-1 on the trip and 9-9-5 overall.
