Almost 150,000 people booked their COVID-19 booster between midnight and 8am today! Getting a booster is vital to increase protection against the Omicron variant. Visit nhs.uk/covid-booster to #GetBoostedNow.
NHS England@NHSEngland

All adults can now book their COVID-19 booster. If you're 18 or over and had your second dose over 2 months ago, book now at nhs.uk/covid-booster. The service is operating a queueing system — if you're unable to book, please try again later today or tomorrow.

As we head into uncharted territory this winter, the anticipation anxiety is rife amongst colleagues. I'd like to remind people of @Frontline_19 which offers support for NHS staff. frontline19.com

@alderton_liz This is very concerning; there needs to be explicit recognition by government that care doesn't end when people are discharged from hospital - it falls to District Nurses, Care Home Nurses, and all the other teams who are working tirelessly in the community and primacy care

Omicron is a reminder that the pandemic is not over. I urge you to get your booster as soon as you can – and if you haven’t had your first or second jab, now is the time to come forward. It’s more important than ever to get boosted to protect our friends, family and NHS.

One year ago today the NHS made history — when Margaret Keenan received the first COVID-19 jab at @nhsuhcw, launching the NHS vaccination programme. Thank you to colleagues across the NHS and everyone involved in the vaccine rollout to date! 💙 #ThankYouNHS

A clear and helpful tool for interpreting urinalysis. Don’t forget that dipstick is unreliable in over 65s, and catheterised pts - due to colonisation. That said, pH can indicate a reason for encrusted blocked catheters. As with all investigations, look 👀 at the whole pt.
Tessa Davis@TessaRDavis

We test urine samples on our paediatric patients every day. It's easy to take for granted that we know how to interpret urine dipstick results. But when it comes down to it, do we REALLY know what all the elements mean? Here are 9 steps to help you master the urine dip. 🧵👇
