The audacity I am entering 2026 with.. Just being wisely audacious and taking steps I was once afraid of. Things that if you suggested 2 years ago, I would have said: NO. The wheels are already in motion. 2026. My month of Wise Audacity.

Most people aren’t exercising enough. But even fewer are moving enough.And yes, there is a difference. Exercise matters but doing 30 minutes at the gym isn’t enough if the other 23.5 hours are spent sitting or laying down. Structured exercise AND daily movement support cardiometabolic health in different but complementary ways, and long term health depends on both. What most people are also missing is movement across the entire day. Walking, standing, chores, taking the stairs, pacing during calls, it all adds up! One can’t replace the other. Lift weights. Do some cardio. But also: move your body often. Health isn’t a once a day event. 🙃

This has been the story of my life. In my case, as a Nurse. You can't understand it, won't understand it until you have lived it and walked a mile in those shoes. Mentally, psychologically - it is one of the hardest things ever to do. Going for a lesser role.

Very late last night, families have to engage services of Aboki boys to find their way into the Greater Niger House in Lagos to find those trapped. Six bodies were reported to have been seen within minutes of entry and some of them were identified. The Aboki guys asked families for 600k before embarking on the journey. Meanwhile, dozens of people are still trapped as we speak including husband, wife and kids.

I still tell people that if not for failed system, PHC should be sophisticated for surgeries and some procedures including secondary health care but it seems all efforts are concentrated on tertiary healthcare

He is keen on understanding every and all Igbo terms Chimamanda used in these books. I am buying more "Nigerian-Igbo" infused books. I even need to read Buchi Emecheta's books again.

So, my kids are not particularly good with the Igbo Language. My shortcoming that I am not proud of! Constantly moving and changing schools haven't helped. I bought two of Chimamanda's books - Purple Hibiscus and Half of the Yellow Sun. My first child is obsessed❤️❤️

@Adamthallith I have a senior colleague who got all her relocation sorted, before the era of internet o. Man said she can go but he’ll marry next month, so she didn’t. Guess who married 2nd wife anyways? He’s just being manipulative, he knows you’ve been processing this before he married.

Now this is the issue, I got offer November this year (2025) and my husband said I should not go, he knows how much I want this, how much I prayed for it, different exams, the visa stress and everything, he knows even how much my brother sacrificed for me for this to happen, now he’s saying I must not go, he said I’m going because he married another wife, he even go as far as saying I should choose the offer or our marriage, there is no name he hasn’t called me. We had arguments about it yesterday and he verbally abused me in front of our children, he also mocked me with a mistake I made at the early year of our marriage, I cried so much, my co-wives also came to my apartment today to pick almost all my husband belonging that’s in my apartment on the instruction of our husband. I told my younger brother and he’s so mad about it, he keep saying if I let his efforts waste, he will not help me in anything related to relocation again. My husband has blocked me on WhatsApp and he’s not visited my apartment today, even though I’m the next in turn with the sleeping routine and I doubt he’ll come, I’m lost, I don’t know what to do, I’m not ready to lose this opportunity, and God sees my heart that all of this is not because of second wife, I love my husband even in all of this I still do love him, but my career progression is as important and I’m not ready to let this go, I’m lost, I don’t want to talk to my immediate family, I know they’ll be bias with their opinions and advice and I’ve also beg my younger brother not to tell our family anything yet, please advice me.”

Some of us came from humble families with sad stories. We’re not hustling to impress or be in competition with anyone. We just want to change the storyline, give our family a better life, build future and fight battles our parents never won. May we get what we have prayed for.

I pray for women to make money. Being a poor woman is not an option. Financially unstable women are treated badly everywhere including the families they marry into. Your whole plan should involve you getting the bag. Take it seriously.
