Honored to host @USDOT Multimodal Freight Infrastructure & Policy Asst. Sec. Michael Rutherford and @DOTMARAD Deputy Admin. Sang Yi for a tour of MARAD vessels here and to discuss the Maritime Action Plan and strengthening the maritime sector and workforce, vital to the nation.

We are working with our agency partners to keep ships moving and to protect our merchant marine. Our mariners deserve the strongest possible protection.

The U.S. Maritime Administration was honored to host a historic signing between ONEX Shipyards and Technologies and Hanwha Power Systems. By partnering with Greece and South Korea, we are jump-starting commercial shipbuilding right here in the USA. 🇺🇸🇬🇷🇰🇷

Minister of Employment @MatiasMarttinen visited DC for meetings with @DOTMARAD Stephen Carmel, @USDOL & @USCG to discuss collaboration surrounding the ICE Pact agreement. The visit strengthened economic cooperation, while promoting 🇫🇮 position in the maritime industry ecosystem.

It was great to visit with @DOTMARAD Maritime Administrator Steve Carmel. Steve – a SHIPS Act supporter even before his nomination –  is a career mariner and an outstanding advocate for the President’s vision of restoring America’s maritime dominance.
