🤔 𝗗𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗘: Is this a red card from Michael Olise on Rodri? 🟥 What's the difference between this and Jarell Quansah against Mexico?

@izzywestbury Considering the huge gulf in class we did well to post a score. Aus playing a different game. Kemp’s innings the only Eng highlight.

Well, that was a fun fantasy while it lasted. Bowling has been quite terrible imho - lines especially all over the place. Pressure? Sure. Aus using crease so well, unflustered, composed. Hate it.
Isabelle Westbury@izzywestbury

So I've crunched the no.s & imho there's a ruddy gd chance of cricket coming home on Sun. Eng have a skip in the Aussie mould (i.e. best player), a well-balanced side of seam v spin & youth v experience, key players in form & a coach who knows how to win. & they look fitter...

30 runs too short I think. England are going to have to bowl perfectly and take every chance to win this. Lot of pressure on the bowlers now.

🚨 BIG ADMISSION 🚨 Former England captain Eoin Morgan has torn into Ben Stokes and England's batting strategy in the third Test against New Zealand. Morgan said the decision to send Stokes in as an opener was one of several calls that undermined years of hard work, tarnished LEGACY, adding that England's collapse "set ablaze" everything the team had built over the previous three to four years and left a "sour taste" among fans.

@montie I hope you’re right Tim. But you might want to look at the Reform manifesto at the last election. It had more giveaways and fantasy economics than Corbyn

Wrong. Britain isn't ungovernable. What it needs is a leader with clear convictions and goals - shared with the country before a general election. For too long we've had parties and party leaders in power who are obsessed by short-term popularity.
Matthew Syed@matthewsyed

Starmer was hated. Says far more about the electorate than the man. Impossible to govern when people want welfare, triple lock, tax loopholes, NIMBYist vetoes, while also hating the low growth, high debt economy this entails. Starmer was a good man leading an ungovernable country

@derekpringle Element of sympathy with what the keeping at the top level had taken out of him, can’t think of any other reason why such a talent would do that

It’s incredible that none of Sky’s comms team can bring themselves to say that Rew’s dismissal, given it was 10 mins before close, was brainless debut or not…..

@PaddyBriggs @icod Weather forecasts these days for some reason are shockingly inaccurate. Lords drains quickly. There’ll be plenty of play

My son has run down to Lords from his new flat to get his number in the queue for the Test Match, they freeze the queue at 6.30am and he'll go home, shower etc and return for the cricks!

In the words of Baz Luhrmann... "If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable" Come on you Pies!!! #notts

I’d be interested to know the reasons behind this. I know why i don’t watch franchise cricket but it would be interesting to know why others have turned away…

@CrowleyOnAir @BBCRadioLondon Afternoon, GC, any chance of some #FaithBrothers? Country of the Blind or A Stranger on Home Ground would be great. 😉Such a wonderful 80s band who never received the acclaim or success they truly deserved. Sadly, l never got to see them play live - a big regret. 😔

@WG_RumblePants Our Groundsman says we’ve had 10% of the average rainfall recently. But if that largely controls the pitch why not produce a spinning wicket & pick Ralphie!

Whilst I can understand other Div 1 teams producing really flat wickets to ensure that Surrey don’t win, it’s interesting that Surrey are also now producing really flat wickets to ensure that Surrey don’t win.

@TeachesPrimary Big call from JJ that he got right. But Reeves was a changed player in the last home game, the majority of balls through him went forward - he was under instruction & executed well I thought.

Noticeable in JJ's interview he spoke about the need for experience, yet still dropped Jake Reeves. If next week is JR's swansong, he deserves to lead the club out as captain one last time with his head held very, very high as one of our greatest modern players 💛💙 #coyd

Flown to EU. Passed the EES machine tests, sent to egate which sent me to manual. Long queue. Complained and taken through EES again with official watching. Go to egate. Did so. Rejected again. Allowed to push in manual Q half way, thanks to kind official. To call it snail pace an insult to snails. Waiting.
