Yesterday, Feb 19th, DPF hosted a Board Townhall meeting in Mbale City. The engagement brought together a broad range of stakeholders with the aim of deepening understanding around deposit protection and its relevance to the financial system. Participants included district officials, members of the business community, religious leaders, Supervised Financial Institutions, representatives from the media, and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), all drawn from the districts of Kapchorwa, Kween, and Bukwo. Discussions focused on the role of deposit protection and the mandate of the Fund. #depositinsurance #Yourdepositsareprotected up to UGX 10m.

Festive cheer 🎊 The DPF joined Teresa Children's Ministries to put a smile on the faces of the beautiful children with a donation of Shs. 5million. Founded by Fr. Raymond Kalanzi, the home provides care and shelter to abandoned children. The donation is part of DPF's gesture to better the lives of vulnerable persons, especially the children.

Yesterday - December 10, 2025, members of the DPF Board paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Finance - Hon. Matia Kasaija. During the meeting, the Board updated the Minister on the Fund’s key undertakings, reaffirming its commitment to protecting depositors and contributing to financial sector stability. #Yourdepositsareprotected up to UGX 10m

The 10th Financial Sector Stability Forum Meeting took place on December 4, 2025, at the Mestil Hotel in Kampala, chaired by the Governor of the Bank of Uganda. Attendees included representatives from various financial authorities such as @DPFUganda, @ThefiaU, @IraUganda, @urbraUg, and @CmaUganda. The meeting focused on enhancing profitability in supervised financial institutions, the regulation of large SACCOs by the Bank of Uganda, and the necessity for regulation of virtual assets leveraging blockchain technology. The overall conclusion was that the financial system is sound and resilient.

Today, on #WorldAIDSDay,DPF stands in solidarity with all those affected by HIV and AIDS. Together, we raise awareness, fight stigma and work towards an AIDS free future. It starts with you and your action today matters.#WorldAIDSDay2025#DPFcares.
