DPM Talabani @qubadjt met today with UK CG Andrew Bizley @andrewbizley to discuss government formation in Baghdad & Kurdistan. On the situation of Kurds in Syria, they urged the international community to take serious steps to de-escalate tensions and guarantee Kurdish rights.

We bid farewell to Mr. Hussein bin Ali Al-Fazala, Consul General of Qatar, whose efforts strengthened ties between the Kurdistan Region and Qatar. I thanked him for his service and wished him success in his future endeavors.

In separate meetings with UN Special Representative Mohamed al-Hassan @UNIraq and US CG Steven Bitner @USCGERBIL, DPM Talabani @qubadjt stressed the urgency of forming a unified KRG cabinet, implementing the salary agreement & halting drone attacks that threaten Iraq’s stability.

DPM Qubad Talabani @qubadjt met separately with 🇹🇷Ambassador Inan @anilborainan & 🇨🇳CG Jun in Erbil. He welcomed Türkiye's peace efforts, called PKK disarmament historic, and urged Suli airspace reopening. He thanked China for significant economic & human development support.

Today, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani @qubadjt laid the foundation stone for Kurdistan’s first Gene/Seedbank in Suli — a major FAO-backed agro-tourism project to protect local biodiversity and promote research & jobs.

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani @qubadjt met today with FAO DG QU Dongyu @FAODG. They discussed agri-tech, vocational training, agrotourism, and reviving rural economies. DPM Talabani thanked FAO for its support, including assistance with the new Gene Bank in Suli.
