@J_my_sci Yes my younger daughter used to take 20 minutes at least to choose her clothes from age 4-7 - now she is much faster … But it’s an art form choosing her clothes and she is much better than all of us

@AaronStorey4 Very much so. I feel like this area isn't discussed much at all. It would be a great topic to get insight as to how others have learned from mistakes and moved forward.

@DRAWheatcraft Sure: trying new things in a way that you can afford to make mistakes and learn from them. Easier said than done though.

We are excited to present MAETi, a simple and antibody-free workflow for #immunopeptidomics of minute samples, down to 50k cells. @JulianBeyrle has done great work optimizing and thoroughly testing it. Congrats on the excellent poster presentation and travel award at #HUPO2024!

@UCDProteomics I have a project where it is unavoidable-can chat offline. But for 90% of the time, I agree there are other approaches.

Happy to hear I'm wrong, but man I would not spend my energy on SILAC labeling these days compared to the alternatives. Even MS1 LFQ DDA with MBR on non silac samples seems better to me. that works a lot better now than it used to.

As I go through a recent SILAC experiment I'm becoming convinced it's a relic that should probably be discarded.

I call this 'fixing the LC' when 4yo wants to dress up the digital birb like Mom.

@DRAWheatcraft @UCDProteomics You might be getting the errors that I am getting 😅. We are working with the Skyline team to make the process more robust and smooth.

I almost never analyze SILAC samples anymore. Is it becoming less popular? Anyway I was really impressed with using the latest version of Fragpipe -w/ skyline integration for dda and Spectronaut 19 for DIA.
