@Malkasaur Idk me and my friends love to hop in casuals every once and awhile and just enjoy a game for what it is, we might find a player where we have to try a bit harder than another player but we never full sweat, plus with 2xko duos is shenanigans with friends

grind culture has ruined fighting games nobody ever wants to play outside of grinding. not even talking about playing casual game modes like what happened to playing random secondaries you arent gonna play in bracket or going for clips no fuck that we HAVE to improve at all times

@Cryophobic1 @FightMeYoshimi @agripepsi @MuffyTek You don’t need conditioning to set up unreactable mix, like in dbfz there are plenty of mix ups that hit same frame, and if you’re trying to predict something you’re making an educated guess, it’s still slightly random.

@DRDRIP14 @FightMeYoshimi @agripepsi @MuffyTek That's like saying RL has randomness because you can't predict what direction your opponent is going to go. It isn't something inherent to the game systems. Also, mixups are often about conditioning and predictions and not pure guesswork.

@FightMeYoshimi @agripepsi @MuffyTek Ok bro even if I get hit in neutral which would be a skill based interaction, the mix up following the combo after (if unreactable which is typically 20 frames or below) is a guessing situation which is completely random for the other person too so it doesn’t change the argument

@FightMeYoshimi @agripepsi @MuffyTek The first thing that comes to mind is mix ups that are extremely hard or basically impossible to react to so you just have to guess, look at some of the insane 4 way mix ups in fighting games and you’ll know no one is reacting to that and blocking based off skill it’s lucky guess

Zoro vs. King was a much better animated fight than Zoro vs. Mr. 1, even though Mr. 1 is still my favorite. OP never looked better than it does right now.

@heavenly_string @official_kmv @cybxrartist I mean you’re correct that it’s subjective but there’s definitely animation techniques and skills that animators have now that they didn’t in the early 2000s that would make animating modern animation basically impossible for their technology and skill sets

If I say Sword of the Stranger has the best animated sword fights, someone will disagree and say Demon Slayer has the best. It also can be objective I agree.

@cybxrartist @official_kmv Even then there’s plenty of newer anime even from the late 2010s that take it to a whole new level, and now we have animation like the newer one piece episodes, demon slayer, JJK, and gachiakuta which all have at least in my opinion WAY better animation than this
