1st bonfire of the season!

It all started with Daisy. She was our first Shetland. That gorgeous mask on her face was something I knew I wanted to breed for. After her first panda face lamb, I was instantly in love. Those genetics ❤️ This photo is 5 years old. At least 2x a year, we get another keeper.

She's on walkabout today. Crazy cow. But the guests love it, they can walk right up to her with treats and pet her. So, I guess I'll let her wander for a while longer.

@US_OGA Bench seats were made for cute girls and good dogs.

Every Saturday morning I have breakfast with a bunch of old farmers. Discussion today was population decline and replacement rate in the US. They've come up with a very simple yet elegant solution to increase birth rates. Bring back bench seats in pickup trucks.

Put a cage around them so no one can hurt them and come back in 48 hours and see what they need.

@AngryDockDog I feel for you. We go through it every year at different levels. Some years are like this one, others are minor. But we sure find some interesting stuff that washes down on the property! Last year I found a bowling ball.

@DRanchLife It took me months to remove the debris/trees off my front yard.

This was the aftermath now that the waters have receded. 3 feet of debris everywhere we look. What a mess.

@AngryDockDog Oh I remember 2015. I was told that was a 50-year event. It was so bad our horse pasture became a waterway directly to the lake. We could have launched our ski boat at the barn.

@DRanchLife How bad did you guys get it in 2015? We got it in July and December. About 8” more and it would have entered my home.

@PeggiBosquez @mollymist2008 Spaghetti sauce with homemade pork meatballs in the slow cooker right now. Last night, beef roast, also in the slow cooker. It doesn't have to be difficult and it is so much better!

So many posts about cooking food and so many excuses as to why it can't be done. I was a cooking from a box kinda gal for a long time. It was easy, it was cheap. When I woke up and healthier food became more of a priority, I started my food journey. When you start going down the good food rabbit hole, it's mind blowing. I have had to drag my family along with me. Sometimes they are kicking and screaming, ( hyperbole) Sometimes they like the really bad stuff better than my healthier stuff. It can get very frustrating. It's a marathon not a sprint. It's a journey. We have come a long way baby. I am paddling constantly. So many of you inspire me. I appreciate it ! I borrowed this from a good friend way back in the late 80s. I still use it. I also have a Betty Crocker cookbook. I also am fortunate enough to have had a father who loved to explore cooking. His sweet and sour sauce was so good! Food should be important. It's a great family connection weather it's struggle meals or celebrations. It's all about the connections. Honestly sometimes it's ok what you need to do. Fried baloney sandwiches are a family story, so is boxed Kraft Mac n Cheese. Let's support each other's growth and educate. You can actually eat good food that isn't really expensive. It just needs to be taught. Yall Ramen will get you by. It's not that great for you.. I know this is a bit rambling and I apologize. But it's my Peg talk for this evening. Love yall 💓

I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.

I bought a trumpet vine like this picture, I just found out that like Lady Banks, it’s a house swallower. Impulse buying for the garden is a weakness for me. Just like the cute little salvia that is now a monster 😅🤣 I can’t go to the nursery unsupervised anymore. I’m going to need one of you to volunteer to go with me.

Everyone, I know I’ve been bitching about the algorithm a lot lately, but it’s because I’m really just frustrated with what’s been going on. However… holding myself to my own standards, I’m going to try to be a part of the solution. Part of my complaining was wondering why I can’t get one of the mega accounts to boost me. Well, if they won’t boost me, then I’ll boost whomever I can in the meantime. I’m going to pick seven accounts; one for each day of the week, and boost them. I’m going to talk them up, tell everyone how wonderful they are, and encourage anyone I can to follow them. As much as I’m shadowbanned, I’ll still do what I can to help. I'm out working in the garden today. Trying not to think about what happened yesterday. I lost 80 acres in 2 minutes. It didn't matter if I paid all those taxes all these years or put all my life work and money in for 32 years. The judge already had his mind made up and told me so. I didn't even get to plead my case or anything. I'm beyond sad and Tyson knows he's lost the cabin he helped me rebuild. I will be appealing but I am tired. I need a partner. All this happened because my partner died. We were not a couple just partners in the church . Maybe I should get a husband instead. I am tired of making decisions. I just want to plant gardens and bake bread. The guy getting it never even met my friend. A very distant relative. Please pray for me I really am at a loss for what to do. I have been here in service I guess I am supposed to retire? Should I buy a lottery ticket and hope to win to buy it all from him to keep going? I still have my home and 7 acres but it's not enough land to carry on like I was..I don't have room for many on this much and God told me to prepare a place for many and I did. I was truly expecting a miracle. I am so sad because I really enjoyed helping so many people all these years.
